Williams had back issues last night.
Speaking of basketball IQ, how did this work out for ya?
"The defense may improve from an assignment perspective i.e. not leaving guys under the basket waving their arms, but not from an athletic perspective. We are too slow and undersized all over the floor to do much more than offer passive resistance vs. defend.
Even with better defense, we still only have one guy who merits any respect on the perimeter and a very talented, but young and undersized post player who will get double teamed because of no other offensive threats. Outside of Jok and Cook, the rest of the team is comprised of the 7th or 8th guy off the bench at a MVC school."
Dammmmmmmm...pretty good Sixth Man of the Year and First Team All Big Ten for Baer and Bohannon considering they are 7th or 8th guys off the bench at an MVC school. And that Pemsl guy rated no respect as an offensive player either.
Wow, you got a track record going there IQ!!!!
And how did we do in the BTT? Did we show up for the most critical game of the season? Did it appear we had close to the level of athleticism IU has? I lost track how many 10-0, 12-2, 14-0 runs IU had because we do not have anyone capable of dribble penetration. Not sure if you watched the IU-WI game, but Trice, the kid nobody recruited, played major minutes in crunch time and hit big shots + had nice dribble drives to set others up for open looks.
How much would Bohannon benefit from that guy being on the floor to share the ball handling duties, create open looks for him, or chase the other team's quick guard? Nope, we have CW and BE watching from the bench. I have said repeatedly I was wrong about Bohannon and you can throw Pemsl in there as well if that makes you happy, but the end result is we lack a dribble drive threat necessary to get action going to the basket. Teams will shift their attention to Bohannon next year with no Jok and without someone to help shoulder the PG duties / create, he will have to keep stepping further back to get clean looks.
How often do you shine your safety pin? You seem a bit older than most millennials, but your behavior is consistent with those needing safe zones when people share a differing view. I find it funny, so keep it up. Maybe we can make the Elite 8 in the BTT next year?? I can accept losing to IU, but getting run off the floor in the 2nd half in a game of that magnitude at this stage of the season is not making progress. Fran has to stop the culture of losing in the BTT if he wants to move the needle.
