Grow up, and learn some respect. Uthoff tried and become assertive in the beginning portion of the second half and Fran took him out. When he came back in he did not attempt another FG for another 7+ minutes.

Please research game flow and rhythm. It's very obvious you have never played basketball. Rhythm is key, and when your best player is becoming aggressive for the first time all game and trying to find his rhythm, Fran takes him out?

The schedule definitely lines up nice for them. Can't have any effort games like Rutgers though. This team is no longer the underdog in every game. They got a bullseye on their back. There's so much wrong in this above, I don't even know where to start. First of all, I've never seen anyone on a forum use "LMAO" as abundantly as you have. Which only shows your lack of self awareness as how rarely that's get used in forums. Secondly, it's "groove". Nobody is getting into a "grove". I honestly don't understand how you even typed that. And thirdly, you referencing "getting into a rhythm, and getting into groove" as a sex act shows me that you are not old enough to have a mature discussion about this topic.
He missed quite a few open shots as well. He flat out was just awful. It happens, and tonight it happened to him. Couldn't hit jack. Guarded or unguarded, didn't make any difference. Our best player played arguably his worst game in an Iowa uniform, and we were down 2 on the road in the last 2 minutes against a Top Ten team.
I'm sure it probably happened at some point, but we couldn't seem to score in back to back possessions the entire damn game. Something this team is definitely not used to. Baer was terrible on wide open 3's, the whole team stunk from the field. Woody, Clemmons and Uhl were the only ones who played worth a damn (and Dom was just OK), and we were still right there, and pissed it down our leg at the end.
I was yelling at the TV from the start. Probably 5 or 6 times he caught the ball about 3 feet beyond the 3 pt line like he has done numerous times in the past. Instead of going up and shooting he waits 1/2 second until opponent runs at him and drives 6 feet in and shoots. But only once in the whole game did he catch and shoot immediately. I know he was guarded pretty well most of the time but I think at least 4 or 5 of these chances he did not even attempt the shot immediately.

He was trying harder - but too hard. It was hurting the team. One wild drive with a shot off the glass that came nowhere close to drawing iron.. That jump pass that was thrown to the bleachers.. I think good move to take him out for a minute. He was back in before long.
That 5 minute scoring drought - that did not happen because Fran took JU out for 46 seconds.. NOBODY on the team could make anything. Except maybe Jok or Clemmons at times.
