Brand new to this but I truly feel Frost is 3 years from truly factoring into the Big Ten West race. I think defense and line domination on both sides of the ball will prevail and hurt his teams. Henrich is a good 3*** player BUT there are 50 other 3*** to 5***** players still out there. Would we take him, yes, is it the world's end if we don't get him, NO.

Henrich is top 100 on 247... rivals doesn’t have a great evaluation on him yet

There is absolutely no reason to berate Heinrich. Hawk fans can hope that we land him ... however, without question, the competition for his services is heated. A few weeks ago ... folks were clamoring over the rumor that he was a Notre Dame lean. Now there is a concern that he might be a Husker commit. At this juncture, it's all rather moot until he both commits and then signs!

Thank you for another non-Iowa thread.

Yea 50 other 3 to 5 stars we have no connection with. Henrich is a very good 4 star and should be at least a 5.8 on rivals as far as I'm concerned. Very true the world will not end if we miss on Henrich. How many top guys have we missed on and the program is still going strong?
We'll see about Frost, but physicality will be a key to debra's progression. With the way they recruit, never know when a team could come together and do well.

OP, Frost and the Huskers are living in your head....

This will be a different Nebeaska. Frost has an old school mentality and his name carries weight with recruits. The west just got better. If row the boat gets his oars going in the right direction the west could have 4 or 5 with a chance to win the devision.

Bet most recruits never heard of him before being introduced.

I just wonder what Scott Flop’s going to do after his failure at Neb.

Will he go back to being a coordinator?

Go back to a small school (where he probably belongs)?

Leave the game for a years & hide in a closet?

Who the hell knows what Flop will do after his Neb debacle.

You are persistant Rocky....How will you react if Frost turns out to be the best coach in the Big? It could happen. He has proven to be very good at each opportunity given to him.
Most recruits know who Frost is, and where he has been. His name is more known by recruits than KF. right now. Oregon's success coupled with coach of the year and an undefeated season at UCF in Florida opens lots of doors.

Illinois at worse win totals than Rutgers? One word - shameful- but I LOVE it.

More known than KF ? That is a bit of a stretch If a recruit knows a guy with 2 years of Head Coaching over a guy who has Coached 20 years at the same school and has had success then that said recruit hasn't been let out of a Lincoln bomb shelter.

They are ALL IN on Frost who has 2 years of HC experience.

His resume is unproven in the B1G.

Not worried.

Oregon also got busted with recruiting violations while Frost was there. They are no longer getting the TX recruits they used to pay $25K/yr for. They survived a few yrs post Cheat Kelly while Frost was there with the talent they had that was already bought and paid for.

Doubt UCF had any academic restrictions more strict than the NCAA. That corner the Vikes took sure has a checkered past.

And we all know Neb is the worst academic school in the B1G by far and worst school on discipline. Perfect landing spot for Frost.

And as much as we may not like Nebraska, this would be a great thing for the west and even better for the conference.

Mmmmmmm. I could name 2-3 other teams I would rather see in there than Nebraska.

Other programs fans aren't being a$$holes on this board 24/7.

Case in point @H8FULLGR8 and his 20 plus fake handles.

There's more deserving teams and certainly less deluded fans than what u get with Nebubba.

Seriously, how many times do we have to curbstomp these idjits so they stop coming here telling us how scared we all should be?

Come back to this thread in a couple years and see where the West stands. It will be different, in a good way, with better competition.
To ignore the youth, success and popularity of a young Frost to recruits is a mistake. They are offering a ridiculous number of recruits to get their foot in the door and keep Ne in top prospects eye. All recruits know Oregon for their fast offense and unis. They will, even if they haven't already, soon know Frost was a part of it. Whether he sinks or swims he will do so with a lot of the eyes that matter watching.

I have no doubt Frost is an improvement over Riley. I have no doubt that Frost will have Nebbie scoring points. What I do have doubts about is whether Frost's defense will be able to stand toe to toe with power football teams like Wisconsin and Iowa. The fast break offensive teams rarely play good defense (See the big 12). They play fast, they're defense will scrimmage against the spread it out play fast offense everyday in practice, so when they get in a fist fight like they will be in with Bucky and Herky, there Defense could get knocked on there asses. I could be wrong, but I am still grateful that Frost is Nebbies coach instead of Beilema.

Honest question regarding a different Husker sport - didn't we hear from the Nebraska fan base that when Nebraska joined the Big 10 that the Husker baseball team would be dominating all these "northern" B10 schools. However, I see that the mighty Husker baseball team didn't even qualify for the B10 tourney. You may ask why am I bringing up baseball in a football thread? Well, it's just an illustration of how unrealistic Husker fans are in their sports predictions. Wasn't Darren Erstad supposed to be the same white knight that Frost is supposed to be?

Neb is the 13th best team in the league behind Ill (for now). If Neb ever passes Rut & Minn for 11th place, I might half-ass pay attention to Iowa City West (Lincoln).

13th place team leaps two teams to land at 11th place? Common core strikes again.
Whoops. You caught me Minn/ISU/Neb fan! I meant Neb in 13th place just ahead of Ill.

This is going to break you but I wouldn’t be totally shocked if Ill passes your Nebbers for 13th place! 14th ain’t bad for the Nebbers considering they’re in the B1G West. That’s equivalent to winning the Big 12! Except for B1G 14th place team plays defense of course.

Henrich is going gold. You pussies on here are so insecure. You beat the piss out of some of the Huskers worst teams. Hell, Pelini had a winning record against you.

No score for the Iowa game. I think Nebraska wins though. You don't have quality skill players and the back end on your defense is weak.

Your offensive line is heavy and unathletic. They are good at power runs, but they're not good at pulling or finding the second block. Win, lose... whatever. This will be a fun game to watch.
Dumb dumb dumb and dumb

A lot of hysteria here, but the worst is your assessment of the offensive line. That's just plain untrue. Second level blocks is a KF/BF specialty. Count how many 20+ plus yard runs Iowa has had against sker the past 3 years, but save the Riley blah blah blah excuse on this one.
