Pretty sure you have to be making progress towards a degree before you can be on a team, that’s what Anthony Ferrari was working on all last year to try to get academically eligible. I’m sure Gable wasn’t enrolled in full time college classes last year. The fool should have been at the Olympic qualifier. They either blindsided him, or he knew he was on thin ice and thought dipping back into amateur wrestling would get him fired. Mason Paris couldn’t have asked for better timing of his release.I’m personally not going to get trolled by Gable again this year.
A little off topic but this and Wyatt Hendrickson are examples of why you wrestle Ben at nationals last year. You never know whats going to happen in the future. Had Ben and Gabe wrestled we would have taken 2nd as a team and we would have wiggle room for transfer portal and log jams. Plus you never know if you will ever have another year. Shit happens, could be hurt the rest of your career. Smoke em while you got em. IMO you wrestle the very best guy at every weight every year.last time we went down this road Iowa offered him a crap ton of money and gable still decided to go back to wwe. I’d be surprised but not shocked to see him at Iowa next year. He has at least one less option now then he did in the past.

I’ll take a previous national champ for year. Easy-pease.if he wants to compete long term...great investment, throw everything at him
if its just for his last year of eligibility and then he's off to his next venture...no thanks, i'd rather see what kueter can do next post season
Now, that would be a whole other level of deception, eh?Not understanding where the eligibility claim is coming from. 2019=1, 2020=Covid year, 2021=2, 2022=3, 2023=4, 2024=5. Unless he was on a Mormon mission, taking classes and redshirting, or Olympic redshirting, 2023 and 2024 count as used eligibility.
Absolutely! If he’s the best guy in the room at the weight.Team Kueter
Yeah, I don’t know. Just asking the question. Maybe this year he actually did declare as Olympic redshirtNow, that would be a whole other level of deception, eh?
Eligibility maths is above my head.Yeah, I don’t know. Just asking the question. Maybe this year he actually did declare as Olympic redshirt
That sounds about right… But if he can grab a bag of money on his way to the UFC, it might substantially defray training costs.Gable is going to tease a return to Minnesota just enough to guarantee Wyatt Hendrickson doesn’t come here, then go UFC route.

There is no math in the cesspool.I did the math about 30 seconds after I read he'd been cut by WWE. Unless ORS means "don't take any college classes and don't wrestle in the Olympic trials but still somehow claim you did both," he's out of eligibility and this is just another silly publicity stunt meant to call attention to himself.
FIFYThere is no math in the cesspool, 83% of the time.
Can’t wait to be hoodwinked again
Well said!!!I did the math about 30 seconds after I read he'd been cut by WWE. Unless ORS means "don't take any college classes and don't wrestle in the Olympic trials but still somehow claim you did both," he's out of eligibility and this is just another silly publicity stunt meant to call attention to himself. The showbiz shtick cheapens his real accomplishments and makes him look like a giant DB.
But I didn't say I wouldn't take him for a year. Let me know when he's on the roster and the NCAA has confirmed his eligibility.
Ahh, the typical “Iowa has a big offer for a recruit/transfer” tweet from a wrestling account so that other schools know to up their offer before he commits.

A.J. Ferrari says, "What?"...I’ll take a previous national champ for year. Easy-pease.
