Players played well, some better than others, but two decisions were made before the game. First, it was decided by Fran to shut down Twitter. This could have easily been advice given by Ferentz (pure speculation). This kept the 50 year old children out of the ears of our 20 year old athletes. Secondly, it was decided that half a shoot around was not going to be enough for a team that had been struggling the last couple games. A venue was rented so the team could have a full shoot around before the game. I have also been critical of the way the last 5 games had gone, but Fran appeared to do a good job getting the players ready for the game last night.

I’m ready to give a lot of credit after tonight’s game if they win. Otherwise, they did what the #6 seed should do to the #11 seed in the tournament. We’re just so used to failure in the big ten tournament that we’re ecstatic with a win, even if it was against Illinois.
Agree. I have been as critical as the next guy about the last 4 games, but I also have no problem giving credit where credit is due. Great job by Fran and the players last night. They worked their tails off!

I like that TC seems to have gotten his Mojo back. That was great to see. I was just saying where is a Cook dunk, and then he throws one down. More of that please!
