I'm bothered by Fran's lack of timeout usage and I'm even more bothered by not having a real point guard. Iowa is lucky Wisconsin is such a bad offensive team.

Yes, I'm going to enjoy the win, but figured a win is a good time for constructive criticism.

But for real, though, this shit is like if Alford was to play Brody Boyd at point 30 + minutes.

Still giving opponents way too many second chances. I hated seeing Wisky getting like five straight cracks at hitting a 3.

If Wisky could hit the broad side of a barn, it would have been a lot closer, and maybe even an L.
Blah, blah, blah, if Wisconsin could shoot, if Iowa could play defense, blah, blah, blah.

Same team that came close to beating MI last game. Same effing team.

Pretty simply put he is just not playing well enough to get consistent minutes . And seems his turnovers are always in big moments...
Lol what? He’s been getting like 5min/gm has 1 to an gets pulled. He’s never in during big moments to have a to. There is absolutely no reason he shouldn’t be playing 10min/gm. Jbo is not good enough to play 35mpg, thats a fact

Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

Good lord, Iowa's PG out played theirs so what more do you want?

True but in that sequence, the first miss was an airball & the second one clanked out to the three point line.

I was glad to see Joe T up cheering for the team late in the game. I would have liked to see some additional substitutions, but the team responded well when Wisconsin cut it to 3 in the second half. JBo did a good job knocking down free throws to ensure Wisconsin did not have a chance at the end of the game.

I watched the entire game completely blasted (and still am) so I may be off base, but I thought Toussaint played really well in the first half in the few minutes he got and didn’t understand why he didn’t get a look in the second. 4 minutes total for backup PG’s. Nunge with limited minutes too. Fran decided it was a starters + Keegan game evidently. Whatever. Take the 15 pt dub

Yes, those big moments with ten minutes left in the first half with the team up by 11 when he was taken out of the game for good. He clearly sucks and he shows how much he sucks in those three minutes he gets every game. He should be kicked off the team.

No. That’s an opinion. Want a fact? JT is tied for our team lead in turnovers while only playing 12 mpg. Pretty impressive huh. Get him some more minutes and he can lead the country in that all important stat.

Wow, question JBo and get the wrath. Look, I love JBo, but JoeT should be getting more pt. Especially with how JBo played tonight. I don't think JBo should be pulled from the starting line up, but he sucked tonight.

He didn’t shoot well, but he certainly didn’t suck.

Well, you know how it goes. If you critique the team after a win, you've committed blasphemy. But after an Iowa loss, those are the same people who want Fran fired and everyone besides Garza benched.

Fran is choosing the "threat" of scoring in Jordan over the intangibles of Joe.

Joe is faster, a better defender, and can create his own shot off the dribble/handle the ball better.

Jordan doesn't turn it over unless he decides to make a lazy pass here or there in transition (or the occasional zig when someone should've zagged).

He is also not afraid to shoot 3s and is a true threat from the FT line. Something, Joe is still improving on.

Teams have to account for Jordan at all times and usually sic one of their best defenders on him to hound him everywhere he goes. Even when he's not scoring (as frustrating as that probably is for him in what will probably be his final season), teams must lock onto him.

They back off of Joe and dare him to shoot 3s, and Joe will still pass them up.

That's really the difference right now. I think if they were willing to allow their offense to open up the lane a bit more to let Joe drive and attack the basket/free up the drive and kick, then there would be a much bigger role for Joe and I think that would benefit Iowa in the long run.

The issue is whether they can gameplan to make that in-game adjustment....or if they're gonna stay set in their ways.

I personally think getting your usual scoring....AND offense from Joe with designed looks for him to drive and do what he does best........MAKES Iowa the best (or at least a better) version of themselves.

Just sayin.

This is why Fran isn't playing him. I would like to see him get a bit more run because I think he would benefit from a vote of confidence. But I understand why Fran isn't playing him.
