Who? Gobblin? Seems like a good dude and well intentioned but it became blatantly obvious he does not have the inside scoop on Iowa wrestling. Not for many years anyway.
All that said, I’d love to have him back.

He engaged in it. I wouldn't say "he loved" to engage in it. I get sucked in once in awhile too. Doesn't mean I like it on the wrestling forum.
He is done here. At least that’s what he told me, and I take him at his word. I’m pretty much in the same camp, except I read the board occasionally because of my wrestling addiction. Gobblin doesn’t even read.
Damn, I hate to hear that. I've always liked and appreciated yours and Gobblin's posts and information.
Would you 2 ever reconsider? I know I'm not the only one who would like to see you both posting here again.

I could be wrong, but I don't think Gobblin left because of non wrestling talk.
There were some on here that were pretty much asses to him if any information he provided was not 100% spot on or if it didn't end up panning out. Part of the reason I can be hesitant on posting information I have. Sometimes things change or not go the way it was intended to. Then the people with pitchforks come out.
There are people who still post on here that are way more connected than those who left. Just sayin'

Yes, there were a lot of rude people this summer. I thought he was more thick-skinned than that though. I'll miss him if he doesn't come back, he's one of my favorites.

So does this mean we should lose quality contributors/fans here? We need more positive members not less. We need to stick together not devide! PSU is getting better and growing stronger, their team and their fan base. Our team and coaches need to keep up and so do WE!

He absolutely had the inside scoop and somehow knew things that a VERY select few were privy to...
That being said these things are and always have been very fluid, and in his excitement and passion for hawkeye wrestling he jumped the gun a couple times.

He definitely used to. But his comments in recent years were far more miss than hit. Especially on recruiting.
