Gronowski is on the Iowa Campus right now on a Visit .

Kaekert said maybe Miami is involved. Sounds like Iowa was trying to keep this visit on the down low without it turning into a bidding war.
Good on Iowa...Miami..stay away! Not sure that culture/environment would appeal, well, maybe for a bit on the visit, etc but outside looking in a Midwest kid and family hopefully they see enough on their visit to seal the deal. Would immediately vault Iowa into the modern offensive passing attack!

Straight from Kaekert, the decision will most likely be down to a choice between the NFL and Iowa. It's not overly promising having Miami mentioned, but who knows at this point.
I do wonder what his NFL feedback/draft grade would be? If in the 3rd to 4th round, what's the contract worth vs. a 1 year NIL deal?

Live look at Gronowski surveying the Iowa football program:

He’s an fcs player, not knocking him but Iowa bombed big time on a big 10 qb in the portal and now this guy is the greatest thing ever? I’ve watched him, he is really good against fcs guys but does it translate? Be cool if it did

Well so was Kurt Warner and he turned out OK. :) IMO, Sullivan is a definite upgrade over Hill and McNamara, but when was the last time Iowa had the better QB on the field in a game? I don't know much about Gronowski, but IA really NEEDS to upgrade the QB position.

Nope, completely missing the point. I’m happy with him as I said multiple times. The problem is one guy isn’t enough, it won’t fix a below average receiver group and an average OL group.
You're talking out of both sides of your mouth. You've taken multiple shots just at he himself in this thread, more than the quotes I took from you, basically because he's an FCS guy and he and his offense didn't perform well against Iowa in week 1 two seasons ago. Sounds like you're trying to change your narrative.

After watching Cam Ward's backup vs Iowa State, it's pretty clear Miami really needs a QB1.

I want to say this very clearly, Kaekert was just giving out potential landing spots, there is no information that Miami is interested/contacted/reached out. Could they, possibly, but there is no evidence of this.
Oh, I understand how "journalists" throw out random shit for "clicks".

I never met an Iowa football fan who underappreciated Tate.

Well, I remember hearing fickle idiots calling for Christensen in 2006 when Tate struggled as a senior. Particularly during the second half of the season. I’m sure many people around here were vocal about it. Probably the same folks that screamed for Petras to replace Stanley.

Miami will find and be served well by a super athletic lafique or trasheon so best that they leave the gronowskis and lindenbergers to iowa
