GOD DAMN!Iowa has landed Gronowski & Wilde apparently.
GOD DAMN!Iowa has landed Gronowski & Wilde apparently.
Um, wow!!! Got a good source I bet, that would be amazing!Iowa has landed Gronowski & Wilde apparently.
Not sure, but I was at the game with Rothlesberger. I believe he had 4 interceptions.Neither did Rothlesberger or Brady
Cam Miller (NDSU) is the #1 FCS QB, and his time is up and will hopefully be a late draft pick. MG is #1B and would be a great get by Iowa (if we can get a WR or 2 along with a few OL).We get it, dude. You’re not gonna be happy unless Patrick Mahomes wants to transfer here. The best QB at the FCS level is typically an NFL caliber QB, or at least a quality P4 QB. This would be by far our biggest catch of the portal era if it were to happen.
The way the NCAA keeps handing out extra years of eligibility, Cam could probably get one.Cam Miller (NDSU) is the #1 FCS QB, and his time is up and will hopefully be a late draft pick. MG is #1B and would be a great get by Iowa (if we can get a WR or 2 along with a few OL).
Me too, but far from my favorite podcast interviewee. My favorite QB of the Ferentz era.

All three of those guys, yes. Nate Stanley was a good one too.Tate , Stanzi , and Beathard were pretty good Iowa QBs
Too injury prone and sits out meaningless games. Selfish. You think Mahomes is an option? What kind of NIL package are we talking about here?
Did Cade quit at halftime of the Cy-Hawk game as well? Everything is starting to make sense.Tbf, they were winning when he quit.......
That's fair.Too injury prone and sits out meaningless games. Selfish.
this outcome was never in doubt. the offense is racing past the defenseIowa has landed Gronowski & Wilde apparently.
Hmm - wonder what will be next in line for this Board's boundless optimism?this outcome was never in doubt. the offense is racing past the defense
Iowa has landed Gronowski & Wilde apparently.
I don't know that we actually have a gift from God on staff, but if we did his initials would be P.P.Yep agreed, with BF on staff we'd really be in a mess...Lester is the gift from God, not Bud. We saw flashes of things we've not seen since CJB.
let’s hope we don’t have to watch a hat switcharoo
And Nebraska. Don't forget they're a blueblood.Next year’s schedule may be an advantage for Iowa in some ways. FCS portal guys get to show out vs Oregon, USC, Indiana and Penn St.
Did Cade quit at halftime of the Cy-Hawk game as well? Everything is starting to make sense.
Same. I’ll believe it when a better source posts it.
Brad Banks. 2002 seems like yesterday.
They have sucked for the last 20 years. Blueblood status has been revoked. And Nebraska. Don't forget they're a blueblood.
That's not what I heard. They have sucked for the last 20 years. Blueblood status has been revoked.
And a coach that understands that the game is 4 quarters. A coach that will coach to win the game. A coach that realizes that being up 13-0 in the 2nd quarter does not mean that the offense can be shutdown. A coach that doesn't punt from the opponent's 40 yard line. A coach that doesn't punt while down 3 with 3 minutes to go. A coach that turns the reigns over to his OC rather than overruling him on play calls. A coach that can understand clock management.Just need an OT for depth and come CB help.
Kirk needs to play GM and inspirational leader. Stay the hell away from the offense, play-calling and clock management. If Seth Wallace is worth his title, he can call the TOs.And a coach that understands that the game is 4 quarters. A coach that will coach to win the game. Not if it involves Iowa. The way the NCAA keeps handing out extra years of eligibility, Cam could probably get one.
No… we need a dual threat and he’s definitely not that… he will end up getting sacked a million times behind the line Iowa has… if you have a stellar line then ok but when you have a SIV of a line it’s not going to work.. you need someone who can get out of the pocket fast and he’s definitely not that… he’s a pocket passer at bestIf He can lead Iowa to a good Offensive Season in the Shanahan offense He will be a 1st round pick and Him committing will make it much easier to land portal WRs and maybe His WR1 Wilde I would think, Iowa is a QB and real WR threat away from being a real problem on the offensive side.
The kid clearly has talent and can play. It's up to the coaches to use him properly. That's where the worry comes in. KFz is the QB killer.I hope this materializes. I'm a bit concerned that he'd be adjusting to a higher level, as you never know how that will work out. But it's a good addition, regardless of whether he starts or not.
Perhaps we'll see Iowa will start taking more guys from the FCS that are sort of "pre-developed", and then Iowa will work on a one year plan of "finishing" the development in the spring and summer camps. The risk of developing guys for two, three, or four years and then watching them jump to "better" teams is way too high in the current transfer portal environment. So maybe this modified approach is the way for them to maintain their customary practice and brand as a developmental program.
He has 1800 yds and 37 tds on the ground! Come on dude! He’s not a stiff at all!No… we need a dual threat and he’s definitely not that… he will end up getting sacked a million times behind the line Iowa has… if you have a stellar line then ok but when you have a SIV of a line it’s not going to work.. you need someone who can get out of the pocket fast and he’s definitely not that… he’s a pocket passer at best
Hmm.. Isn't he a dual threat QB? You're being kind of a Debbie Downer here man.No… we need a dual threat and he’s definitely not that… he will end up getting sacked a million times behind the line Iowa has… if you have a stellar line then ok but when you have a SIV of a line it’s not going to work.. you need someone who can get out of the pocket fast and he’s definitely not that… he’s a pocket passer at best
They did have some nine win seasons when Pelini, (sp?), was their coach. I don't think they have any since then. That's not what I heard.
From Nebraska fans.
Who are you talking about? I assume not Gronowski? No… we need a dual threat and he’s definitely not that… he will end up getting sacked a million times behind the line Iowa has… if you have a stellar line then ok but when you have a SIV of a line it’s not going to work.. you need someone who can get out of the pocket fast and he’s definitely not that… he’s a pocket passer at best
I was told that 9 win seasons aren't acceptable at a blueblood. Now they're celebrating 6 wins and a 5 point victory over BC like it's 1999.They did have some nine win seasons when Pelini, (sp?), was their coach. I don't think they have any since then.
