Rebarrelled Mausers? Custom? I’ve got a Sauer in a 6.5 that’s pretty accurate. I’ve also got a k98k in 7,92 as well. Made by Steyr Daimler Puch though.

Yep, rebarrelled them with (1) Shilen and (2) Douglas Match barrels. Took some practicing when I made the cutter to get the right angle for the threads, but got it after about 3 tries. I did them more to practice my machining skills than anything.

The only thing I want of my dad's possessions when he goes is the Belgian Light 12 that my grandfather bought in the 70s. Great shotgun.

Best bolt action platform (safest) out there. I just wish I had the time to invest in equipment and teach myself machining skills. Some of the steel used in those old actions are tough to replicate today w/o costing an exorbitant amount of $$.

Most accurate I’ve owned was an old 7.5mm Swiss straight pull rifle. Hardest steel too

I won a mint Belgian Browning BPS a few years back at a Ducks Unlimited raffle. I’ve never fired it and I don’t think it’ll ever leave the safe.

Have you never heard people say that before? I’m not admitting to owning any firearms. At one point I may have owned 17 with a lot of ammo but a freak boating accident took them all out.
I hadn't heard that before - I get it now!

(Was kinda hoping you were a pirate)

It’s only the pussies that talk about owning guns being a bad thing. I can’t comprehend the problem with it. I got carjacked twenty plus years ago. How did it end when the brother got 9mm in his face. It ended peacefully and I kept my shit. He got me before, not this time. I said I have a Glock pointed at you get the F back or I’ll shoot your ass. He said I got my .38 in my car. I said you think you can make it to your car and outrun my this bullet. It was a good night.
The pos carjacker and his green metal flake Caprice in 22s and I both ended up at Country Kitchen sitting next to each other that night. I busted out his window when I left. Cool Waterloo 90’s story bro.

I’ll keep my guns. We don’t all live on acreages in bum**** nowhere.

side not: I was 17 at the time and every brother thought they were a west coast gangster and you had to carry.
How was the chicken-fried steak?

OP is a bot for both: 1) Soon-to-be Trump autocracy or 2) Incoming Socialist Biden Regime. THey both want to know where and who has the guns. Nice to see them working together.

Mine are legally registered...at least the handgun is. I'm pretty certain I'm not the target audience, so I don't lose any sleep over this. Besides, it's a fallacy to think only Republicans own guns.

First, thank you for your service. Second, do you like that the left one here is insinuating you're not a smart man and you are a person that does not get laid and has a small penis?

DO you thank nurses for their service?

I once bought a mint early 80’s s/s Marlin 30-30 lever action at Hardee’s. We met for coffee, exchanged permit to acquire info and IDs. Made the transfer in the parking lot. Different times

Did a nurse post in this thread? You're one of those people who walks up to a person giving out information on breast cancer and asks [demands], "Hey! What about Leukemia!?" aren't you?

FYI: It's Veterans Day, not Nurses Day

I have a single shot 12 gauge I used for pheasants 45 years ago, a .22 last used on a rattlesnake 11 years ago, and a 9mm pistol my dad brought home from Germany after the war, I've never fired. Don't know what I'll do with them as my kids have no interest. I've got a wife and a poodle, why would I need a gun?

No one "needs" a gun...it's a choice. Sometimes it's just fun to go out in the middle of nowhere and shoot some cans. ...sometimes it's nice to be able to defend your home while waiting for the police (like I have) and in other instances it's an opportunity to provide food for your family...like the poor folks we hunted with that live near the Ocala Forest of Florida in the 80s. (man, don't miss a deer, they get really pissed. It's like taking food from them)

If none of those are a fit for you, then look at selling them through a gun store. I'd be interested to know what you get for that WWII pistol...let us know if you decide to go that route.

There are two reasons in your last sentence for why you would need a gun.

I will be buying my first gun

Can someone suggest a simple option for home defense?
