yes...that was a miss....refs miss calls, but they did not miss that one
There is no camera shot that I've seen that is taken from an angle that would allow anybody to make a definitive statement one way or the other.

The refs blew the FG with Indiana
The refs blew the targeting call on Gerry and the facemask penalty which would've negated Armstrong's fumble.
Now what the heck does this have to do with Iowa?
Nothing.

this year every time Nebraska won a game they thought they had it all figured out (their fans). And then they would lose their next game and want to commit suicide(their fans)
So - I guess their back (again)??
By and large the refs do the best they can. Officiating football games isn't their full-time job. I think they rely too heavily on review.
It's a mantra among football fans, the refs screwed us. I wonder what percentage of fans say that after a game? Sure, I've seen some suspiciously blatant calls trend in a game- 2005 Michigan and the Outback Bowl. But in the great majority of cases they are trying to get it right in a fast-moving game.
On January 1 Iowa will get some calls their way, so will the Indians. Let's hope they negate each other. If a bad call decides the game, that's been happening since football and fans bitching about refs.
