It ain’t right, but I just don’t see democrats putting a black woman and a gay man on the ticket together. It should be someone who is good at campaigning which I think is Harris's weakness.
Buttigieg fits the bill, but there are governors that fit that bill as well.
Mitt ****ing Romney. Run a moderate split ticket and show the maga mouth breathers this country isn’t divided.
We are most definitely in a proxy civil war right now. Once trump loses I fear it’ll be kinetic. There are issues with that idea.
First of all Mitt Romney is fairly old. So it lessens the impact of Trump's age.
Secondly and it's a bigger thing is that Mitt Romney and Harris likely have pretty massive fundamental differences on how the country should be run. The big thing they agree on is Donald Trump shouldn't be president. The media will be asking a lot of questions about their differences of opinion.
A national unity ticket only worked in 1864 when the country was in the middle of a civil war and the civil war was really the only issue that mattered.

That’s a very reasonable take and idea.Ehh maybe but until there is actual violence it's not going to be the only issue that matters. There are a lot of other issues that matter to a lot of people, especially undecided people. They need to have some degree of confidence that the people running the show are at least fairly unified on what to do about these problems.
Mitt Romney can endorse Harris, he can come speak at the convention in support of her. He could even take a cabinet office.
But him being the VP would be a distraction on nearly every issue.

I certainly invite him and Cheney to the convention for sure.Ehh maybe but until there is actual violence it's not going to be the only issue that matters.
