Ohhhhhhh......the greatest?! I didn't realize that he 'supported America being the greatest'! That changes everything. The gold toilets, the porn stars, the graft, the incompetence. So long as he "supported America being the greatest' then it was all cool!
Don't care. I vote on a functioning, well-oiled economy. The rest is all semantics.

1) Is she all Democrats?
2) Abolishing ICE doesn’t mean eliminating immigration and/or customs enforcement. It never did mean what you think it means, and just a minute of time researching would make that clear for you. A very good friend works for American Friends Service Committee, which has been part of the movement to abolish ICE. Let me see what’s on their website.

Here’s a quick read from afsc.org:

More leftist propaganda, separating families, terrorizing communities!!! What a load of crap. This is a complete attempt at a power grab by the left.....more democrat voters is all it is. THEY BROKE THE LAW, put them in jail, send them back....they are taking jobs from legal immigrants and other Americans. But thank you, Americans need a constant reminder of reasons to vote against the socialist party.

This the culture wars have taken over our politics.

The Dems are not in line with most of the working class on the culture wars and have been rejected because of that.

I don't really see a grain of truth in this.

If you mean "white racists/bigots" as the "working class", then absolutely.

But on "culture wars", Dems have been fully in line with what most Americans actually think.
  • Decades ago, inter-racial marriage wasn't popular, and illegal in many states. Dems pushed against that, and today it's supported by a vast majority of Americans
  • Abortion rights are favored by 2/3 of all Americans, something the Dems are fully in line with and that today's GOP is trying to take away
  • Gays were mostly hidden away in the dark corners of America prior to the 1980s. Today, most Americans fully believe in gay rights.
  • Gay marriage was also outlawed across most of America; today most Americans believe in gay marriage rights, because they've recognized that it has nothing to do with them, personally and doesn't harm them in any way.
  • EDIT: add in gun regulations and limits on assault weapons, which most Americans favor, but the GOP cannot allow in order to maintain their NRA gravy train. And, again, conservative media reframes the issue as though "all gun rights will disappear", which isn't remotely the case. Americans favor most of the common-sense laws Dems would like to put in place.

What has been amazing over the past decades is GOP framing of many of these things as though they are or should be controversial, and ginning up their base who does not favor any of them (the exact opposite of most mainstream Americans). And Murdoch, et al do a fantastic job of marketing to them and making those bigoted and unpopular positions seem "normal and mainstream".

Ummmmm, it’s on record that ICE has prolifically done the stuff outlined in that synopsis. The cause for abolishing IC is not unfounded. I recommend you read some court filings and cases against ICE. Start there.

Let's get rid of the FBI first; the brownshirts of the Democratic party, then you can try getting rid of the law enforcement trying to stop the invasion.

I agree, glad you are in support of ending illegal immigration.
I'm opposed to hypocrisy. You can't say you're against illegal immigration if all you do is call immigrants names but don't actually do anything about them.
Personally I think the real issue is that the republicans have spent so much time demonizing them that they now they can't actually work on immigration reform without losing votes even though it's clear that businesses need the workers. So they do nothing while grandstanding. It's a great way to raise money from dummies.

It amazes me how many on the right are so abysmally stupid that they believe and regurgitate this crap.

Just how do non-citizens get to vote?

How long does it take for an illegal to become a citizen?

I know it's hard, but try to think.

Are you really this naive? No one can possibly be this simple minded.

Here we have the left-right distinction drawn for all to see.

One of us raised factual points. You know, like needing to be a citizen to vote. And how the path to citizenship is long and slow (and not even available to many illegals).

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind a little name-calling. What I mind is if that's all you've got.

The real problem for the GOP, I think, is that while they could absolutely appeal to Hispanics if they worked at it - think abortion, for example - they haven't figured out how to embrace brown people without losing their bigots.

One of these days they may figure this out.

If I were an R - pause to throw up - as soon as the Rs capture Congress, I would pass serious immigration reform.

Ideally insert some clever poison pills so Dems are seen opposing it. And maybe Biden even vetoes it.

Point being that the Rs could establish themselves as the champion the Hispanics have been waiting for.

Then let the bigots fall by the wayside, It's not like they will vote D in 2024, so the bet is that the Rs will get more Hispanic votes than they lose in bigots who stay home.

If you havn't noticed the GOP vote share of Hispanics is growing.

Yep. Scary that they might win over a lot of Hispanics without giving offense to their bigots.

Also shows just how much the Dems social views are alienating Hispanics. That they are willing to vote for Donald "They are rapists and murderers, but I suppose maybe a few a good people" Trump.
