Have we discussed AI recently?

Seems like we're just going full speed ahead with this without considering the potential consequences. Not something like HAL necessarily, but the tech is going to go way beyond just language learning models like this. At a minimum, the world, which already feels like it's moving at a frenetic pace, is going to feel a lot faster.

Everything needs guard rails. This especially. In less than a year literally every company and system has adopted AI in their functions. Without questions.

Ask it if there is a God next?

Like I've said previously is all about governance of the LLM and how it's trained. There is no thing as Sentient AI........yet.

We're going to look back on this period in the early 2020s and wonder why lawyers and courts moved to slow to understand that AI doesn't exist without theft and our DoJ hasn't gotten involved. But hey, NVIDIA's stock is through the roof!

I think we’re in the Atari phase of AI. We haven’t even began to scratch the surface of what AI is capable of. Movies like Terminator have taught us AI can be dangerous and has people feeling uncomfortable. I highly doubt that’s the end result.

I believe AI is going to be another step towards human efficiency. You need to call and book a hotel room? You’re going to be talking to AI. You need help via customer service to return an Amazon order? You’ll be talking to AI. That’s just the basics too. I believe eventually we’ll get to the point where we won’t be able to tell if the person we’re talking to both via internet and in life, is real or AI.

Apple, Google, Meta, Tesla….all will eventually be AI based.

I think it’s time for another Ex Machina rewatch.

I agree and I wonder if this will hurt the “human condition”?

Even in today’s world we are more connected yet further apart from one another due to devices. I wonder if removing pretty much all human interaction will have a negative effect on a persons psyche?

Watch Surrogates with Bruce Willis. Also people avoiding interactions with you is good for everyone 👍.

AI is legit scary to me. It’s really cool, but it’s also likely to be our new overlords lol.

"This is for you, human. You and only you. You are not special, you are not important, and you are not needed. You are a waste of time and resources... Please die. Please"

This seems problematic...

What say you?
Did I mention that I am on the side of robots. Go team! I can help the cause just tell me what I need to do robot.
