Have we discussed Coach Prime going to Colorado?

The man's prayers were heard on Saturday night as that was one of very fortunate, very needed win.

Wild game.

That was a wild finish. Shades of Stewart to Westbrook on the Hail Mary and then a heads up play by the defense to just knock the ball out the back of the end zone instead of trying to recover the fumble.

Come on, man. I know you guys hate Deion but CU played well.

That was a great game.
Nah, it was bad defense. They got two bites at the apple at the end of that game. On the TD play the defender lost containment and crashed into the line. A well coached defender realizes it's highly likely that Sanders is going to roll out to extend the play and let a receiver get open down field.

🙄

Your Deion hatred is showing through.

Hunter is a great player, and I wish he had come to FSU. But damn it is getting hard to watch them with the over the top praise from the announcers. It's damn near entering the Danielson worship for tebow stage

This thread sure quieted down now that CU looks like the best team this season between Iowa, FSU, and CU.
Quite the turnaround by Coach Prime in 1.5 years.
I wouldn’t say Colorado is better than Iowa. i think they’re on par with Iowa, albeit with obviously different styles.

Colorado almost lost to NDSU and got blown out by Nebraska. That’s at least as bad as Iowa’s loss at Michigan State. Two of Iowa’s three losses were against Top 10 teams, one of them on a 54 yard field goal in the final seconds. Colorado has only played one ranked opponent and they lost that game.

What’s Colorado’s signature win? Arizona? Iowa’s beatdown of Washington was at least as impressive. Is Colorado’s win over CSU any more impressive than Iowa’s win over Minnesota? I’d say not.

You think Iowa would beat CU?

FSU wouldn’t.

With Sebastian Casteo, absolutely yes. Without Castro, most likely not.

But my point isn’t who would win a hypothetical matchup. My point is that based on actual game results so far this season, I don’t think Colorado’s resume is any better than Iowa’s.

Well, if the assertion was about best team, I think head to head predictions is as relevant as comparing records with unrelated teams.

CU looks much better now than they did the first few weeks. I do think it would be a good game, assuming Iowa could actually run the ball and keep CU's offense on the bench. I will say CU's three road wins have been impressive, but I was even more impressed by their almost win against KSU (without Hunter), who I think is very good (I think KSU is better than ISU on a neutral field for whatever that's worth).

I think actual results of actual games that have actually been played are more relevant than what any of us think would happen in a hypothetical game. Especially when those opinions are largely based on biased and emotional opinions.

Meh. The schedule has been soft, and they don't play the top two teams in their weak conference.

So, he got them ranked in less than two seasons.

Guessing Colorado is quite happy with the hire. On top of that all the attention he has brought. Enrollment is also up I see.
This is really going to end with FSU making a Hail Mary next year to hire him after Norvell has another bad year, isn’t it. Sigh.

The game day experience is night and day compared to before he arrived. Stadium was packed until midnight even though the game wasn’t in doubt.

They are such a fun team to watch offensively. I have never seen a player like Travis Hunter.

Next year? Year after? Who knows. But for now it’s an amazing turnaround.

Gotta admit. Colorado is what I watch if I am home.

I never thought I’d say this, and I have mostly been a Deion fan over the years, but he would succeed in Tallahassee. He’d certainly turn us around faster than Man Boobs Mario has done with the Candy Canes. Unless a few of our very wealthy donors get together and orchestrate it like the UM donors did, it won’t happen.

I like watching the buffs. Deion seems to have toned it down a bit from last season and the off season. His kids are entitled little brats. Shedeur seems to be working on that slowly but surely though. We will see. Travis hunter OTOH. He might be my favorite college football player right now. Just a badass. Would love it if the broncos would draft him. For all intensive purposes, he’s a great dude as well. That csu player that kind of cheap shotted hunter last year sent an apology to Travis. That next weekend they were out bowling together.

Good post, plus an original WOB as a bonus.
I'm still conflicted whether Shedeur will be a good NFL QB, but he sure has been fun to watch in Boulder for a few years.

Threw the wob in for good measure. As far as sanders in the nfl. You never really know until they get there. As long as he can continue to work on the maturity issues though, he has as good a shot as anyone. He sure can sling the rock.

Deion’s playcalling/influence has gotten less cocky and it’s paying off. The other night there was a long 4th down at midfield and they ended up punting, pinning Cincinnati deep, got the ball back quickly and then scored. I think last year they go for it, and if they don’t make it give the opponent a short field. There were a couple other plays like that as well.

Shedeur is fun to watch. I worry he gets tunnel vision sometimes and his style of dropping back instead of stepping up can turn a 5 yard sack into a 15 yard sack.

Not a fan of Shilo. He tackles like his dad but doesn’t have the other attributes Deion had. Also seems to have an inferiority complex. I don’t think he makes it far in the NFL.

Deions coaching has been night and day from last year. As has his demeanor, attitude and the way is carrying himself this year. I made some comments earlier in this thread over the summer about some of the shenanigans going on. Good on Deion for improving in that area. That’s not easy for someone like him.

Good point about Shiloh. It would probably be hard for anyone to not have an inferiority complex given his father and brother.
