If POSPÍŠILOVÀ would also enter the portal, would hope Iowa would express interest. Iowa is desperate for players who can finish off the bounce, and she would help big time.

That's going to be a long rebuild for whoever takes over. The roster was arguably the worst in the conference before Lewis left, and Wisconsin hasn't had much extended success as a team since the early 2000s.
Switching gears to Iowa, this was pretty easily the best game of Czinano's career. The offense was apparent, but I also thought she did really well on defense. Tonight is one of the only games I can remember where she was disruptive defensively in the post. She also rebounded well. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come.
Should Bluder have left Monika in for a couple of more shots so she could have gotten 40???
By my count, if everyone comes back that has eligibility next year, 11 players, we have 3 coming, so that leaves 1 scholarship available.
Tonight is a major opportunity to earn a 'program win' if Iowa can exceed expectations and beat Rutgers. This is more or less a rebuilding year after losing Megan and Kathleen in consecutive years. Lose and oh well we still made the tournament and we have a star player and some talented pieces in Monika and McKenna moving forward to 2021-22. Win tonight and play competitively/beat Indiana, then Iowa and Clark must and will be talked about on a national stage this month.
Iowa should have confidence because they've already beaten Rutgers this year. If Iowa can limit easy buckets and second chance opportunities on the glass they'll definitely be in the game. Perhaps playing last night gives the team momentum tonight as opposed to Rutgers whose waited longer with their double bye.

The challenge tonight is that Rutgers has seemingly found its offense down the stretch, which is a rare thing for Rutgers in recent year. Tonight will be a good measuring stick for Iowa.
I looked at the stats for the team. I know women shoot higher % for FTs, but wow. One player is 1 for 2. The next LOWEST is 70%. Team is almost 80% and 2 or 3 are at 86%.
I presume they had trouble adjusting to the different shooting background of a large arena, and tonight will be better.
Rutgers is the strangest team in the conference. They were 1-3 in conference before their Covid break, but the only win was a narrow one over Wisconsin. They went 9-0 after coming back from Covid, but only 3 of those wins were against teams that finished above 500 in conference, and 1 of the 3 was against an Ohio State team that was in free fall at the time. They've played some games that ended up in the 50s and some games that ended up in the high 80s or 90s. I think there's a legitimate question about whether Rutgers is really the 3rd best team in the conference given the schedule, but it's also never easy to win 9 in a row, and they won most of those by wide margins.
Well they should totally let Iowa win, while they try to answer that question!......
Michigan State upsets Indiana. If Iowa can beat Rutgers tonight then the path to Saturday's championship game suddenly seems like a less imposing task. Have to take care of business tonight first.
I cannot believe Viv is still coaching. This has to be close to 50 years as a head coach. She coached a smaller than mid major for several years before arriving at Iowa, which for some reason I think was the year George R took over the boy's program, and that's almost 40 years ago.
