Its just so much more irritating because they got by with so many uncalled really obvious fouls.
They have been in for a while. But every win improves the seed

I just really worry about injuries. Our entire starting lineup went to the floor at least once. Martin was assaulted. Marshall tripped and poked in the eye. Czinano was tackled on that jump ball. And Clark almost didn't get up in the 2nd quarter

It really seems this team is peaking at the absolutely right time. Their offense always seems to find a way to be productive and tonight it was behind Marshall's 3 barrage. But the defensive improvements have been what this team needed.
Rutgers was noticeably frustrated in the 1H and it clearly affected their play. Iowa had their typically good defense confused and it snowballed for them allowing Iowa to get that big halftime lead.
Beat MSU and who knows what can happen. Improving seeding improves Iowa's chances in the Rd of 32 too if they make it there. Playing a 3 over a 2 could be the difference between playing a beatable Indiana or a daunting challenge in South Carolina.

Yes, commenting player X or Y 'looks like a man' or 'looks masculine' seems to only be said about black players. Interesting how that works right? Did I miss something? Did Imus play for Rutgers last night? Why are we wasting space discussing what he said 10 years ago? As for C Viv., I will always have great respect and appreciation for what she did for Hawkeye WBB, but she is responsible for the team she puts on the court. If the majority of women's college basketball teams conducted themselves as Rutgers did last night, it would dramatically reduce the popularity of the sport... I would not watch, for sure.

Michigan State will be a tough test. Iowa has played two physical teams back to back and MSU will be another one. Warnock and Martin should be good to go and MSU is as banged up. Clark should be the deciding factor here. I think she steps up and drives this team into the finals.
