Hawkeyes, are you supporting the Big Ten in the bowls?

Are you Hawkeyes pulling for all the other Big Ten teams in the bowls or are there any teams you hope will lose? I am trying to support the conference, but I don't know if I can pull for all the teams.
I will support every team but the team that should be back in the B12 with the rest of their kin. You constantly bicker, whine, and try to convince yourselves that you are not a rival of ours. You are wrong, you are Nebraska and you are the red-headed step child of the conference. The dumb ones, the laughable ones, the has-beens, etc.

Your arrogance has been turned on itself, and now you are shown to be wanting. You have no respect for the conference and the conference does not respect you either. No one in this conference fears you, no one really even cares. They just wonder why you aren't back in the Lil' 12 getting owned over and over again by Texas.

IMO, the fact that IA was 12-0 in the B1G should have been all that was needed to be known, as far as the quality of the team. But obviously it didn't work that way. So, I think it's in IAs best interest if the B1G has a good showing in the bowls, and slowly continues to re-establish itself as a premier league. But it's also reality that the best I can do for a couple of teams is raise my rooting interest to kind of a suspended state of disinterest; IE I will not expend one ounce of emotional energy actually caring about the outcome (NE & MN).

And you are 100% factually incorrect. Iowa was, literally, 1 play, an inch, and 27 seconds away from making the Playoff, even with what was considered to be one of the softest schedules in the country.

It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks about any of the teams that we play. All that ultimately matters is that we actually win games.

Not a chance. College roommate was a skirt fan. That was 93-97 and it really sucked. Gave me a deep disdain for all things Red. I now work in Nebraska every day (still live in Iowa) and right now I don't have to hear about the Cob Gobblers awesome football tradition as much. If they lose, that'll maybe shut them up for a few more months.

I was referring to the general media opinions BEFORE the CCG (not to be confused with the committee). I thought that was apparent by the reference to being 12-0. The list of "pundits" that gave IA their due before the game was very, very short. How can that be debated? The good news is that the committee used different metrics, but they also said that IA did more in 1 game than all the previous 12. So, what exactly am I 100% factually incorrect about again?

Sorry, you weren't incorrect.

You're just an idiot for caring so much what other people think, especially when it has no tangible bearing or impact on anything.

I've always rooted for all the Big Ten teams in the bowl games. But, the unwarranted, vitriolic, irrational hatred Nebraska has shown on these boards towards Iowa in the last several weeks makes me hope UCLA blasts them in to a hole they can never climb out of again. Even if UCLA gives it away, Nebraska will still have a losing season record, and Mike Riley for a coach. Poetic justice.

Haha. So....you're one of those guys. I actually don't personally give a sh!t what anyone thinks - including a$$hats like you. However, it did get tiresome watching the national narrative give every single team the benefit of the doubt, except IA. IA placed in the Top 4 of every blind test I saw. That was clear evidence of a national bias based on "100% factually incorrect" data. My opinion is that a stronger B1G, as a whole, might help counter that bias. Apparently you don't. Big deal.

As others have said, I cheer for every single Big Ten team. Except Nebraska. I hope they die in a fire.
I think it's weird how much Iowa hates Nebraska. I'm from Nebraska and all my family and friends and pretty much anyone I know don't talk smack about Iowa or hate them. Is there any team that Iowa fans like besides MSU. All I read is how Iowa fans hate Minnesota, hate NE, hate Penn State, hate Michigan, hate Ohio State. Wishing people to burn in a fire?? That's pretty messed up.

I came to the conclusion last night that I am. Even Nebraska. My reasoning is simple. With Iowa having a legit shot at a national title next year, we need the conference to be highly regarded.

I don't know. By the time Iowa and Nebraska play next year, I doubt this season's bowl game result will have any real impact on how they or the B1G are perceived. Those things mostly help at the top of the conference and in preseason/early polls.

Nice try...
How is that a nice try? If you're literate, you can see that. Yes, there's posts w NE fans saying they don't want IA to win, but I saw many saying they are rooting for IA and IA deserves respect. I didn't say ALL the posts were for IA. I said many.

What you call many I call a few.

Lol
Evil lies often...
lol. Im from Nebraska, so I'm evil? I went to the NE/IA game. An elderly Iowa man slipped on some ice and fell. My husband and I helped him up. His wife couldn't pick him off of the ground. If I was truly evil, I would've just walked on by.

The Devil once was an angel.

Many of those posts were Neb fans rooting for Iowa to win the Rose bowl...

I would say some, not many. Maybe 80% anti-Iowa. Just a few days ago there were about 12 anti-Iowa threads that got locked by your mods and zero on the Iowa board. Nebraska fans are SO jealous it's just eating them up.

I hardly even read the husker boards BC it's a lot of drama. I think overall the BIG Ten will have a good showing at their bowl games. I don't think NE will win. I just don't see that happening. I also don't see MSU beating Bama. Maybe if Connor Cook's shoulder is 100% back, but IDK. I think OU is going to win it all.

Alabama is a 9.5 point favorite but I still think MSU has a good chance. MSU has the best QB Alabama has faced and MSU has an excellent run defense and a decent secondary now that they have their starters back. If MSU can stop the run, they can beat Alabama, which I think they can. I think the winner of that game beats probably Oklahoma in the final.

I hope MSU wins, but I don't think they will. I could be wrong of course. Last year, I said Ohio State would win it all and everyone told me I was crazy. The BIG Ten teams are always underestimated. No one thought Ohio St would win it and beat Bama. I only watched Stanford once this season, when they played ND and I only watched the 4th quarter. I felt like ND was highly overrated all season long. I don't really know much about Stanford or how good they really are. All I ever hear about is McCaffrey.

If anyone isn't planning to pull for all B1G teams, listen to finebaum for a day, and you may change your mind.

I'm not sure Bama can score 9.5 points on MSU.

Normally, I’d say everyone but Ohio State, but they are playing Notre Dame, so…………. maybe.

Can this game just end in a TIE and no one wins? OSU fans and ND fans are the worst. I have a ND homer I work with and an OSU customer who never shuts up about them.

The rest of the bowl slate I will be cheering for the Big Ten. I hate to say it my 2nd favorite team after Iowa is Clemson (used to live in the area and loved Clemson over SC). So I don't know if it comes to MSU/Clemson NC, I don't know who Ill root for. Love to see the Big 10 win it, but Dabo and Clemson have been pretty solid.

i will never root for Nebraska. Especially with how their trolls (and the weird sense of entitlement they seem to have) made this board unbearable for two weeks.

Also, I cannot cheer for a team whose fanbase performs Iowa Hate chants...especially when they are losing to other teams. It's a good thing the B!G perception doesn't hinge on the gophers to have a decent showing.

This times 1,000,000 I will NEVER pull for those lame mouthbreathers in LNK
They can kiss my a$$.

I'd like to see MSU win it all for B10 prestige (and to shut SEC apologists up). I would be happy with other B10 bowl wins...but I'd also be fine with Minny and Nebby losses...their fans get under my skin

If tOSU, MSU, Wisky Michigan, PSU have a good showing and Iowa it will reflect well on the conference. I hope Nebraska fails miserably at every sport, each time they take the field, court, mat, etc...

The team i would have trouble backing is playing Saban so i'm pure B1G homer, so...

NICK SABAN's TOP ELEVEN POTENTIAL EXCUSES FOR HIS UPCOMING LOSS TO MICHIGAN STATE...

#11...Just wanted to see MSU win a bowl game since we didn't get to WHEN I COACHED MSU...

#10...My players are so secure in their masculinity they played soft...

#9...Couldn't get my team excited about a December bowl game...

#8...Many of my players are dyslexic and thought we were playing SMU...

#7...Couldn't sleep the night before with an uncomfortable mass lodged in my colon--it was a HEAD, with perfect HAIR...crap, that was mine...

#6...This 85-Scholarship limit level-playing field crap is made from SEC hatred...

#5...Wanted to keep our bowl game losing streak intact...

#4...Still distracted by Sandra Bullock calling me "so handsome" in The Blindside...

#3...The Lee Corso Kiss-of-Death...

#2...Last year tOSU beat us with their third-string QB, MSU just beat them with THEIR second and third-string QB's--we had no chance...

And...
#1...I suffered from Toxic Shock Syndrome from over-use of motel shampoo...

(#10 was actually used by Letterman some twenty years ago...)

I'm pulling for all teams but Illinois.

Illinois isn't in a bowl game this season, but I'm still rooting for them to lose.

Ohio State vs. Notre Dame... yeesh. While I may root for the Buckeyes on the outside, inside I'm actually hoping for a meteor to hit the stadium.

This is an easy one. After last year, the SEC dominance narrative fell off a cliff. Alabama still represents, but the rest of them are terribly inconsistent products, particularly for their high recruiting classes.

It's very important that B1G schools come to play and win. A MSU win over Alabama with its ridiculous spread will help break their will. I want it bad, along with Iowa, OSU, Nebraska and all B1G teams.
