Goodness, only 17 seniors.

I seem to be missing something that's probably very obvious, apologies. Since this year didn't count against players eligibility-wise wouldn't, for example, Belton still be a sophomore?

Yes, if they want to, they can go back and get an extra year of eligibility. Doesn't seem like many plan to use it but they wouldn't really have to decide until after what would have previously been their last year.

Isaiah Bruce @273...hello! That guy is an athletic freak. I don't know what they have for an ideal playing weight for him but that guy was running 100m track 18 months ago, and I'm not talking about the fat guy races.

Unfortunately no updated weights this time around, so 273 lbs. would be from last summer when he got there.
Regardless of posted weights today, Iowa has probably the leanest OL in the conference. 290, 285, 289, 293 and 293. 😎❤️🏈

I know the NCAA made #0 a legal number, beginning last year. I wonder when we will see a Hawkeye don that jersey.

Would like to see out OL average about 305. Our lack of size there shows at times.

Those guys are on the roster! Volk, Elsbury, Fenske plus Davidkov & Colby both coming in at almost 300. I would love to see Ince gain another 15lbs although he looked great this past season at 285lbs

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see both him & Jones at 300lbs when weights are updated

I doubt Jones will get to 300 by this fall and we may not want him there. He might be ideal in the 280s.

I say they bulk Epensa up to 275 of pure muscle and let him roam the edges like his brother did ... if he did half of what AJ did I would be happy but seriously I wonder if that’s even doable?

OT Cole Croston arrived at 215 lbs. and left at 305 lbs.(+90 lbs.). Of course, Croston was 6ft7 so a much bigger frame to add weight. What set him apart from others is a strong desire to succeed. He really bought into the S&C program and worked hard to get there.

Who do you guys think becomes a household name from the walk on class of 2020. Last year I really liked Schulte & was happy to see him on the 2 deeps at the end of the year. I'm going with Wegener for this coming season especially seeing he's at linebacker now

And evidently Eric Epenesa is still with the team as an undersized LB. Folks here were reported that he had departed as well.....
Some walkons were prevented from joining the team on campus this season because of COVID. Gaven Cooke (WR that played with Petras in HS) is another.

From 185 to 275 of pure muscle. Gonna require some juice for that.

Edit to say they could get him to that weight. It just wouldn't be all muscle of course.
