Hey haters how about that play calling

So we beat a team we should have beat ....we didn't just barely beat them we convincingly beat them! The same people that are now complaining we beat a bad team were the same ones claimed we didn't have a shot at winning this game. My point is we got spoiled by beating Ohio St. and now we think we should be going to the Super Bowl! The inconsistencies are do to .....tell me again how many freshmen and sophomores have been playing! Enjoy ....don't complain ...cry babies!

KF averages 7 wins in 19 years at Iowa. This is an average year.

Actually it is 7.4 wins per year for Kirk Ferentz
Hayden.....7.1 wins per year at Iowa
Barry Alverez ..... 6.5 wins per year at Wisconsin
James Franklin...8.0 wins per year overall

and so on.....again for the millionth time, Iowa is not a upper echelon football program and never has been. They are in that bunch that 7-9 wins is a solid season. They will have that 2 maybe 3 year run where they are winning 9+, but it is a roller-coaster program. Reality is the best asset someone can have when laying their Saturday mental well-being on the line. This is a young Iowa team that is 7-5 won some that surprised everyone and lost some that were stunners.....happens every Saturday around the country. "Sports Happen" and that is why it is great every year being a college football fan. For the 30 and under crowd or the old-farts that think the Hayden years were awesome....reality reality reality.

I can never argue with dismantling Nebraska in their house...BUT if somebody can read me Hockenson's stat line from yesterday, they'll find out why I'm frustrated with BF.

We have 2 TEs who are a matchup nightmare for almost any defense in the country and we're throwing bubble screens to Nick Easley and ISM. Nothing against those guys, but we have a bigger advantage with the big fellas and they hardly saw the ball yesterday. Fant made his touches count though.

Maybe I'm overreacting since Fant does have the school TD record for TEs, but I just think they could be utilized more than they are.

Stuff it. It never fails, after every win some nimrod comes on here calling out “haters” (I am so sick of that word).

I don’t recall you making any posts after the Wisconsin and Purdue canes extolling the greatness of the play calling.
Play calling was good in those games. Execution and discipline (penalties, drops, missed OL assignments, etc)....not so much.

Its pathetic even after a win some find reasons to complain .....i'm so embarrassed by some of these so called fans! I would hate to be a kid in one of the homes that these people live in .......they wouldnt have a chance. Please find another team to follow ....i didn't say be a fan for a reason....because i don't think you are really a fans?

It's not pathetic, its passion. You have no reason to be embarrassed, what are you embarrassed about? Please keep giving us the "you call yourself fans" speech, the reason these forums exist isn't so we can all come on here and poop sunshine and butterflies; sometimes we need a place to vent when the team we look forward to every single Fall to escape our lives for a few hours every Saturday (and one Friday), continues to remain mediocre. Get off the pedestal, please.

GO HAWKS.

OP, did you see how fast Nebraska gave up in the second half, when wadley is carrying defenders that should tell you they just plain gave up. Brian was more aggressive today than the past 2 weeks. This game does not change my opinion on this staff and this team, we crushed a team that gave up cause they know Riley won't survive the weekend.
When Iowa wins=BF was aggressive. When Iowa loses=BF wasn't aggressive enough.....LOL. He wasn't any more 'aggressive' than any other game. They just executed and caught the damn ball.

No one has a problem with people 'venting', it's these folks that go on and on, day after day, week after week, poisoning every thread with their whining and hate for the coaches and the AD, etc. How or why would you consider them 'fans'? They are only 'fans' of listening to themselves bitch.

Super Bowls are reserved for Proffesional Football players. Thank You.

I thought that was partly by design to force Nebraska to defend the the entire field, which in turn kept them from packing the box to stop the run.

We didn’t get a ton of yards on them but I thought they were effective.

It's so much important that you look at the 19 year win, loss record and see the trend. That way you might see reality.
I'm not the troll, im trolling the trolls. The people who don't understand what's happened for 20 years and what's going on now.
You are not trolling anybody. You are posting like a child after a win, but you are nowhere around after a loss.

Biggest changes I saw was going to more fullback to take away the LB running thru the spots vacated by pulling linemen and more straight ahead vs Stretch blocking after the 1st Qt. both good adjustments. Finally in game adjustments . If that means He has learned something this year good

Those aren't changes. Learn the difference between inside/outside zone, power/ISO, Gap scheme, counter trey, 'pin and pull' and how each is blocked before giving us anymore of your 'expert' analysis, LOL. They had a couple 'wrinkles' in the run game this week, but you wouldn't know them and you didn't mention them. You signed up just to badmouth coaches and posters, but in order to 'critique' something, you should be at least somewhat proficient at what you are critiquing. You are not. And I can always tell the 'mentality' of a poster by their name and/or avatar. 'Dick Rambone' tells me pretty much all I need to know....now you just need an avatar with a scantily clad woman or something, so we all are certain what a 'man' you are, Lol.

OJT=excellent HC decision-making

Yep, amazing play calling.

The Nebraska defense is so stout, it's taken a lot of creativity to find the holes in the blackskirts.
