Holy SH!T Alabama vs Oklahoma

24-3, first Vandy and now this. Never be the coach who replaces a legend.
First year, no I don't think he's Saban. First year though, I think they have the number one recruiting class in 25.
These are not his pieces.
Don't get me wrong, I love seeing Bama fail.
They are a machine though.
They aren't calling Boudemier or whatever his name is a gift from heaven. Lol

ESPN will do their best.

The arguments about a three-loss SEC team in the 12-team College Football Playoff began even before the scenario presented itself.

Now it's here.

Paywall, but I picked the game up mid 4th Q and it sounded like Herbstreit was about to cry when it was 24-3. He about lost his shit when they called Illegal Touching.

If they played 9 conf games instead of 8, some of the ranked SEC teams wouldn’t be ranked because they would have another loss. While we’re playing a 9th conf game at Ohio State, Bama is at home playing Mercer.

There are 16 teams in the SEC and Vandy and Oklahoma are in 12th and 13th place. Oklahoma played that game without their top 5 WRs. Alabama is out of the race

50/50 Alabama gets in the playoffs with 3 L’s

The committee will figure out a way…
We won't like it, but 'Bama may still get in. They'll be competing with a 2nd ACC team (2-loss Miami or SMU); I like their chances with those teams having SOS nowhere close to 'Bama.

Big 12 and G5 will each have 1 team.

Notre Dame will be in.

That leaves 8 spots. Most likely 4 B1G and 4 SEC.

4 B1G teams are obvious.

Even after the OK loss, Alabama is 4th among the SEC teams in SOR.

Ole Miss has fallen out of contention, and Clemson doesn't have near the SOS or SOR as 'Bama.

Texas A&M is the only team that could pass 3-loss 'Bama if they can pull of the upset against the Longhorns.

I actually think that 'Bama being the #11 or #12 seed is quite likely.

I'd prefer that South Carolina beat Clemson and Auburn beat 'Bama so that the Gamecocks can be in, so that's what I'll be cheering for...

Bama got its doors blown off by a mediocre OU team, lost to 6-5 Vanderbilt and Tennessee

They don’t belong in the playoffs

Not necessarily arguing with you, but lots of teams have blemishes, and ‘Bama has wins over GA, MO and LSU. Assuming they win Sat, I think it is highly likely that they are in based on full season body of work. ESPN playoff predictor agrees with me.

If Alabama gets in this year, it's going to be hard to convince people that it's not a rigged game. Haven't watched them this year, except for Georgia and Oklahoma. They were bailed out by a crazy play by their freshman WR against Georgia and last night they were worked like a rented mule. They don't deserve to be in the playoffs this year. Missouri and LSU are good, not great, teams this year, beating them is not that impressive. Georgia, yes, but it was early in the season, so it can be discounted as it was nearly 3 months ago.

Btw, how do you look at our shit show?
I’m not surprised by our season so far. Now if I were looking at it through the eyes of a Bama fan I would be very disappointed. All of those playoff runs and national championships can be very addictive. Withdrawal can be a bitch.

I have to admit that I will laugh my ass off if the national championship game this year is #8 Notre Dame versus #11 Alabama. Expanded CFP really fixed things didn’t it? Lol.
