Like I said, anything short of a BTT finals appearance or a Sweet 16 and Fran needs to gtfo.
I also said we'll go 1-2 following the Nebraska game and we're right on course. Fran won't go down without a fight, but ultimately we will be outclassed once again by our 2nd Rd opponent in the NCAAT.
Maybe we can find an up and coming young coach from Long Beach State or something like that?
Obviously Fran is quite secure....the loss today was predictable and fits the pattern for Fran in 12 out of 13 BTT he's coached.
Also predictable s is being force fed from Fran Fan's how great a coach Fran is, and our program is envy of nearly everyone because we usually are around 0.500 in B1G and usually make it it to NCAA tourney and get participation award.
Get too happy with themselves after any kind of success. Just lack consistency & the killer instinct. Kind of a thing with Fran teams.
Lets fire a coach whos made 5 straight ncaa tourneys at Iowa. Im sure itll work out great.
Don't underestimate the possibilty of another A10 team beating this team. They need to play against a team of slow, unathletc shooters like a Davidson to win 1st round game.

Fran can't possibly be fired, no matter how many kids he has in his starting lineups or sitting on bench

How many sweet 16s??? It’s not too much to ask for 1 in 13 years. Especially because he acts like an asshole on the sidelines and is an embarrassment to the university.
C’mon, it’s been 13 freaking years. Frans tourney success is almost non existent. A run in the NIT early in his tenure (wooohoo!!!) and last yrs btt champ and that’s literally it. Going to the tourney 5 yrs in a row is impressive….ALMOST as impressive as getting taken to the woodshed every time we do make it!
Dont act like the guy hasn’t gotten EVERY opportunity to produce some ncaa success. He’s been given far more leash than the vast majority of coaches would get

Davis got canned for not progressing in the Ncaa's so why not. Get a coach who can recruit and makes sure he has plenty of nil money, who that would be is another discussion

Yah we got fresh young coach with name pedigree. Then we got the national coach of the year after that! Both worked out great!
