Looking ahead since its Sunday and we got a ways to the game. But how do we bottle what we have this year, the chemistry and unity and playing for one another that we see every week? There is a HUGE opportunity for the Iowa football program right now and not just in the CCG but going forward in the west division. We've been in similar places to this several times including 2009 and we've struggled to capitalize on those opportunities and find sustainable success like both Wisconsin and Michigan State have. We have a chance right now. Wisky, Nebraska and Minnesota are all down. Northwestern is playing good football but so hard to sustain things there with academic standards. This is our chance. This is our time. I'm praying coaches have learned from past mistakes on this front and they find a way to keep this mojo and this magic with this group going into the off-season. Of course a HUGE factor for next year is the eligibility status of Ott, which I think he gets another year, and whether or not King comes back. Less likely on the King front in my opinion but he did promise his mom he would graduate and get his degree before moving on.
I've never been more excited about Iowa football in my life and naturally the 12-0 magical season has us all in that place, bit the potential with the pieces we have coming back, the young talent we have to replace our seniors, the experience we're getting right now, and the situation in our division makes me incredibly jacked about the future and the next few years of Hawkeye football. This is our time!

Really surprised no one wants to talk about this especially with a few days before the next game.

With CJ, King and Ott possibly coming back their mindset will not change. REPEAT! Woohoo Go Hawks! 12-0!

Throw a paragraph in there once in a while and I'd be more apt to read it. Hard to read that much text in one massive paragraph.

When I want someone to read something, I always use the return key more than is probably needed but it makes it much easier to read. Just my input.

The west is not a grind, and it seems like Wisconsin is the only team that will consistently win it, with others rising. Don't think we're building a dynasty, but we'll probably be the favorite next year, maybe even whole favorite. Of course expectations have never been Iowa's thing.

Why would Wisc consistently win the west?

Iowa is better coached with better facilities. Not as far north.

They will sputter and be back down to computing with everyone else.

Iowa should be favored next year and it should be iowa /wisc/Nebraska competing tightly after that.

Iowa's next greatest challenge is to meet or exceed this year. Plenty to work on... look forward to! Go Hawks!

I agree with the OP. We bottle it by having experiences like we're having right now. It's like the team running around after the Pitt game...you can't buy it.
