How fat is it where you live?

At 25 that is doable. At 60 it is a
I work with a lot of 20 somethings that are that. Literally they can't do the work load. Miss work a lot. Can't walk across a farm field and so on.

Diabetes is becoming an epidemic for the young.

I have zero doubt someday there will be correlations with certain vaxes and glyphosate (others). Gut health or lack of it.

I’m 60.
5’10
210
11% body fat
Technically obese using BMI
And, you represent what percent of the population. At 66, I am 5’10” and 170. Don’t know my body fat %.
Luckily, I get to be very physical and active at work and play. In the next week or so I will help the neighbor in the hayfield.
Being big has benefits, but later in life it can be problematic.
No judgement, just realistic. One of my brothers is my size, two others are too heavy and having some issues.

Last stat I saw a couple years ago said that the fattest state in 1990 (Mississippi) was healthier than the healthiest state in the country (Colorado roughly 2020).

Yes I was serious. Thank you for not helping.
I am 6'1" and weigh 230 lbs. That puts my BMI at 30.3 or in the "obese" category. I have a 50" chest and 36" waist and am nowhere near obese. Not sure of my exact "ideal" weight by BMI purposes, but I think it is around 175. I would look like a cancer patient. What I consider my ideal weight is about 215. That said, at 54, my blood pressure is normal, pulse is 55-60. BMI can be useful for the average soft couch potato, but can still be very misleading for more active/muscular people.

C'mon Iowa.

I have to say I’ve been surprised Lexington va is not as fat as I expected. In town I figured it wouldn’t be too bad given the universities. And out of town everybody seems to be lean and wiry because they still work for a living. Who’s have thunk it a mere 30 miles from West Virginia. L

Those are the same stats as an NFL running back. If you're being honest, I think your intense workout and supplement routine may be shading your judgement.

I’m being honest. No supplements, my workouts aren’t that intense anymore. But I’m on the move most of the day and I’ve been lifting for 45 years with very few missed days over that time.

Just hit 62,000 pushups for the year. Right now I’m doing about 500 a day

You're missing the point too. In this data set you would be a single point, and honest and really big one. 230 lbs is pretty large and I'm not sure what your blood tests have to do with anything, I don't know ow that I was making the point that having a 30 BMI automatically equals unhealthy.

I was simply asking why that kinnick character and the 60 year old professional wrestler think it all should be disregarded due to outliers.

I'm happy for you, but you're an anomaly.

I don’t think either of us think it all should be disregarded. He, and I, we’re trying to understand what measurement they were using to determine obesity

WV being mountainous and leading the way on obesity is strange to me.

Jerome, if you have ideal BMI, good for you. Really. What I'm saying in all of this is that some people like to build muscle mass. And that alone makes BMI irrelevant.

500 a day is awesome. Wow.

I'm honestly unsure what my BMI is, but it doesn't really matter. A single person isn't going to have an effect on such large averages.

Your snarky responses and emotional opinions have me believing you might be protesting too much. Best of luck with your "muscle mass" building.

Wow. Ok, then.
