There don't seem to be a lot of seniors on scholarship, but every Kirk Ferentz recruiting class (to my knowledge) has signed at least twenty. Usually in the low 20s.

12 open scholarships.. and that depends if mends gets and extra year.. this will be a very small class unless we have a bunch of departures here over the summertime

Looks like another scholly may have opened up. DL Romeo McKnight may have left the team due to injury.

I'll say 18, with a breakdown by position as follows:

QB - 1
RB - 2
WR - 2
TE - 1
OL - 4-5
DL - 2-3
LB - 2
DB - 3

But when you look at the offers out, there's quite a bit to WR and LB so perhaps they're planning to take more at those positions.
