How's Keegan Doing?

Wow..Timberwolves come back down 25 early in 4th with 20-2 run to get it to OT at OKC without Ant and Rudy!

Ant went out w injury in 3rd.
Did not see Luka on court
Amazing runs in the league this year.

It's helping the Kings tonight in playing a team with a 14-41 record.
What, in particular? You mean their record. I agree. This is a game where if they lose, which at this stage they will not, heads would roll. The fans at the arena would boo the team off of the floor. They have already booed the Kings this season. :(

makes you wonder who the GM and head coach are next season.

and what players will still be on the roster?
Agree. Monte McNair put this roster together. It falls on him. Will Doug be the coach next year. That's up to him to make the case, but it's never a guarantee. As for the players, they don't have a lot of cap space. We'll see I guess.

Kings blow out the Mavs in Dallas. Keegan finished with 18/5 with 3 stls in 25 minutes. He's averaged 15 points in his last 5. Keep it up! Kings have now won 4 straight and 3 of those are on the road trip that they're on now.

I still don't know why Dallas traded Luka away. That trade (and Luka) might win the Lakers the championship!

Sac is in a tie with the Clippers in 7th place in the Western Conference, with the win over Dallas. Kyrie's knee injury looked gruesome. The Kings currently have the 2nd most difficult schedule remaining in the entire league according to Jason Ross. Next up is at Denver tomorrow night and then home against San Antonio. Keegan needs to keep scoring well, as he has of late. Valanciunas has been playing well lately, as well. Keegan finished the game at +29, highest of any player on both teams.

Just for fun, I thought I'd put this up. Look at the veteran players on this list that Keegan is on. This will stand for a long time. Hope his 3 point touch comes back on a consistent basis. He's already an elite defender.

This article is as frustrating and confusing as Keegan’s role this year. To paint him in the light he is here is not a very well thought out analysis and simply an average sports writer attempting to analyze Keegan’s numbers and claim he’s taking steps back. It’s lazy, doesn’t discuss important nuances of the situation and somewhat inaccurate overall.

If the Kings are winning it doesn’t matter how much Murray is scoring. The team needs his defense and the other guys on the Kings as well as the coach know that. Not every player is a star by year 3 and with the roster they have that won’t change much anytime soon.

In Keegan's last 5 games, he's averaging 16.5/game. His 3 PT % is up to 35%. Definitely improving in the short term. He was projected to average around 17/game this year, and that was before DeMar and LaVine came in. I look for him to keep improving on his shooting from beyond the arc. When Monk and Sabonis come back, we'll see if he can get up enough shots. Right now, in the last 5 games, he's putting up 11.5/game. I like those numbers.

Kings had a shot to win but couldn't get the stop and get clipped at the horn in OT, 111-110 to the Clippers. Keegan had 15/6/2.

The Kings (current #9 seed in the West) fell to 33-30; the Clippers (current #8 seed in the West) improved to 35-29.

Keegan played a team high 47 minutes; next were DeMar & Zach at 44 minutes each.

Keegan was 3-6 from three, 3-6 from inside the arc and 0-0 from the FT line for his 15 points.

Kings 3 point shooting:
3-6 (50%) Keegan
6-28 (21%) Rest of team
..............................................
9-34 (27%) Overall

That was a tough loss. And as if that wasn't enough, the Knicks are in town to play the Kings tonight @ G1C @ 9:30 PM on NBA TV.

Rough loss but Keegan had a great game. Very efficient on the offensive end with a beautiful jump back 3 at one point. Defensively he mostly shut down Leonard except of course the last play when he hit the game winning shot. Levine with the chance to win it at end of regulation and that one just barely missed. Fun game to watch overall.

Cannot stand monk.
With lavine, demarr, Keegan, sabonas...only one ball..monk shoots way too much

2 things needed in the 2nd half: Shots and stops. Knicks shot 56% from the field and 47% from 3. Can't keep that shooting up if the Kings can close out on the perimeter. One thing the halftime broadcasters didn't mention (unless I missed it) was that Sac is on the 2nd night of a back-to-back and the game yesterday was an OT dogfight against the Clippers. NY had 2 days off after playing the Clippers on the 7th. That Clippers loss gave them their 3rd straight loss on their current road trip. They're doing what a good team (ranked 3rd in the Eastern Conference) should do- and that's come out strong and take it to their opponent while rested. Kings have an uphill battle, and if they don't get more bench production, it'll be a long night for the team and fans. Not impossible for Sac, but it will require one hell of an effort.

Kings upcoming games. Get ready...at Golden State, at Phoenix, home games with Memphis, Cleveland, Chicago, Milwaukee, Boston, and OKC. Good luck.

The Kings (33-31) got blow out at home to New York (41-23) last night, 133-104.

The Kings are now just 16-15 at home. They are 5-5 over their last 10 games and currently occupy the #9 seed for the NBA playoffs (if the season ended last night, they would be in the Play-in Tournament, needing to win 2 straight just to get the #8 seed in the playoffs; the #8 seed would then open on the road at #1 seed and 53-12 Oklahoma City).

Keegan's stats last night:

30 minutes (of 48 possible)

1-6 (17%) from 3
3-5 (60%) from 2
.........................................
4-11 (36%) overall shooting

0-0 (0%) FTs

9 Points
2 Rebounds (both offensive)
0 Assists (0 turnovers)
1 Steal

0 Blocks
