I watched quite a bit of the game last night because I bet on Dallas and after his first three the Dallas announcers were wondering why Kris doesn't get more minutes because they felt Portland lacks shooting and Kris can provide that. I know it was a blowout but he looks like he belongs out there I hope he continues to get a chance to show that.

NBA is weird and I don't get the dynamics of roster construct, contract construct, or playing time construct. I do get dribble, drive, shoot, pass, defend.

I look at where Garza, JW, and Keegan are and wonder what some teams see or have seen in each player. Then I look at Kris, and wonder what Portland sees, or plans, for Kris.

Nice job of being aggressive to the rim and keeping his feet inbounds.
Last year Keegan's shooting was good but he had to work on being aggressive and driving.

This year Kris is aggressive and driving the ball but needs to work on his shot

Portland is dumb. Kris has a twin that is tearing it up. Play the man more! It's too bad Portland picked Kris. With the next pick the Kings were likely to take him and he'd be in a muuuuuuch better situation.

In Keegan's case, he was "Thrown into the fire," as it were. Being a starter from the get-go really has helped him take his game to higher levels, (and he's still developing). Kris getting spot minutes and garbage minutes has really slowed his growth as a player. He'll get more time as he continues to work.

His best game so far. 13 pts (5/9 from floor, 3/5 from 3), 1 reb. 3 assist, 1 steal in 37 minutes. Had that Murray smoothness working.

Hope this is a small preview of things to come.
3-6 from 3 according to ESPN box score. Also 3 steals.

Can Grant and Thybulle be out every night? Love the 37 minutes

Portland (10-29) is terrible and ended up losing 127-116 to Phoenix (21-18).

Just 8 Portland players played. They had 4 out (2 due to illness; 2 due to injury).

Portland took Kris with the #23 overall pick and is paying Kris $2,847,480 this season so they might as well play him and see what they got.

It is nice to see him getting 37 minutes last night and shooting well.

3 turnovers in 14 minutes probably isn't going to keep Kris on the court. I hope his sophomore season is a breakout for him. He's probably putting a lot of pressure on himself given Keegan's outstanding play so far.

I see Kris is averaging 12 min per game on the season...that is more NBA minutes than Cook, Garza, Weezy have gotten....that makes hims the 2nd most succesful Hawked in NBA over last 20 years behind his brother. Kris wasn't good enough to play his Freshman year under Fran and only played part time in Sophomore year---give him extra credit for being a team first guy and not complaining.
