I am a 60 year old married, heterosexual, male professional. I meet and greet probably 40 people or so, at least, on a daily basis. I try to make sure I dress well, nice pants, shirt, sweater/sportcoat on a daily basis. I believe in taking care of myself, in general to be healthy, and also to keep up a good appearance in society and as a sign of respect for myself and my wife.

6 or so years ago, I went on a golf trip with 4 friends. 2 were ophthalmologists, one a retired CFO of a major multinational law firm and the other a very successful commercial real estate broker. I needed something out of my Dopp kit, so was rummaging through it and I pulled my facial soap out. All 4 of the other guys said "What the F is that?" I told them it was facial soap. I don't clean my balls, my taint, and my ass with the same soap I clean my face with. I use something gentler for the face. They thought it was the funniest damn thing they had ever heard. NONE of them use a separate facial soap. These guys are not factory workers or anything like that. I was stunned. I thought almost everyone used special soap for their face, etc. They thought it was crazy. They brought it up a couple times since then and I remained quite surprised and they continued to think it was hilarious.

Tonight one of the guys and me had dinner with 2 other guys, one of whom is a retired vet who sold his business for 7-8M and the other is CFO of a corporation that includes multiple car dealerships, a marketing company, a home security business, etc. The retired CFO of the law firm brought it up again. I also mentioned that I use a retinol cream at night for anti-aging along with the specialized facial soap. These 2 guys also thought it was ridiculous. They use the same soap for bunghole, balls and face. Once again I was pretty stunned. They are not quite even 60 and healthy, in-shape guys.

So WTF HBOT? Am I kind of a loner in using specialized facial products or are my friends closet heathens? I am really flabbergasted that they think this is something that is weird or atypical. Please discuss.

Dove sensitive skin and I put it on a washcloth like god intended so I’m not concerned about what parts of my body it touches.

Weird subtle brag about rich friends thread.
Not really. That's my reality. Truly curious as I thought most men, particularly those who may have to dress and look professional, would use a different facial soap from their body soap.

Yea, he goes through the trouble of using separate face or beard wash (a lot of us do) and states that Trump is a complete lunatic but also claims Harris is a bad candidate for unknown (misogynistic) reasons. No one knows the reason for this post, much like his dislike for Harris.

If you're using retinol products on your testicles, enjoy the tumor.
So…. I didn’t wash my hands after using the retinol one night, must have touched my Frank and bags in the night. Sensitive skin down there

Not just that. Retinol is a vitamin a derivative. It makes cells divide very very quickly. That's fine for specific dermal applications but you don't want a germ line tumor in your balls aka testicular cancer that might become metastatic.

I put the soap on the wash rag, clean my face and upper body first, then clean my ass and balls with the wash rag and through it in the hamper.

Ha! I rarely post here, but I’ve got a stalker!! And I have never voted for Trump. Think he’s a buffoon. And I am not a misogynist. Just don’t like leftist politics and don’t think Kamala has done a good job explaining her policies and positions or why she should be President. Is that OK in your vision for America?

I don't think you could articulate what leftist policies she's endorsing

Couple things here:

You seem like a fairly intelligent guy to not understand the usage of a hand towel.

Irish spring body wash ftw.

One of the rare pieces of good advice my father ever gave me: "when you get out of the shower, wipe your face before your ass".

Also, why in the world would you take a post about male grooming on a Friday night and make it political? Get a life.
I think it is very put together to have a separate face soap, your colleagues are making fun of you because they are too lazy or don't care enough to do it themselves.

That's said, so am I, so I find you a complete douchebag.

I use one bar of soap. I lather it in my hands and then wash my different body parts. That way, the bar of soap doesn't touch anything on my body except my hands. My hands are rinsed between every body part. I also use the soap on my face and shave in the shower.

So you're not aware of the existence of body wash? Holy shit Trump voters are still using bars of soap.

Same soap for my face and body. I use whatever soap my no pic wife puts in our shower. Applied with a loofah. Wash face first. Pretty simple. I’m 53. The only time I used something different on my dace would have been Noxema in my teens and 20’s to ward off the occasional pimple.

This is my answer.

I’ll do you one better, I don’t use soap on my face at all.
