wow.
Hawk fans needed this after yesterday's JV football game.
Congrats to this team. Tough as nails.

Probably, but should be at least #15....our loss's were "good" and our SoS is one of the best in the country.I'm guessing #17
One of the best weeks in Iowa basketball in recent memory
Road wins Purdue and MarquetteYep, and these two victories will be seen as "quality wins" by the selection committee come March.
I'm a little worried about the layoff after Nebraska on the 5th. We don't play until @Michigan State on the 14th. Michigan State plays on the 7th and 10th. Very strange scheduling.
Disagree. I think the layoff comes at a very good time. It prevents NB from being a trap game as there is the layoff right after it, and it allows Sapp to heal from his injury.I'm a little worried about the layoff after Nebraska on the 5th. And kind of makes up for the poor football performance!!!!!................okay not really. That's gonna take a while but fortunately I like to keep my enthusiasms for each sport separate. One of the best weeks in Iowa basketball in recent memory
And you're being sarcastic too which is why it's funny....That is the best officiated game that Iowa has gotten at Mackey Area in the 40 years I have watched Iowa basketball.
I don't recall ever seeing a team run out of timeouts that early in the second half of a contested game...credit to Iowa's lock down press and trap game.

Fran had the luxury of kind of "letting Purdue bleed out" with no timeouts left...best coaching I can recall from Fran...well done...Baer was in there when it counted. The trap game stymied Purdue to no end.
Baer sure seems to tire quickly...I wonder if he is recovering from the flu a bit right now...he is without a doubt the best "sickly" looking player I have ever seen. And I mean that with a lot of respect...
A Huge and unexpected win...for sure...one of the best ever.
