Hugh Freeze resigns.

I am sick of high-profile, sanctimonious hypocrites who claim to be Christians and live in a way that brings disgrace on the name of Jesus Christ. Christianity should not be an act that you use as a recruiting tool and a defense to media scrutiny.

I have a feeling he was preaching to the choir so to speak. Big time donors probably ate it up.

The big question is whether or not this was for himself or for recruits. The main call in question was when he was on a recruiting trip in Florida. He could end up in jail if that is the case.

This is what I can't figure out if was for himself so what but if it was for a recruit that's a bad deal

so Ole Miss didn't want to pay Nutt... and Nutt blew the whistle on Freeze.
now Freeze is busted.

and Ole Miss is lying about the whole thing.

it would be interesting if now, in turn, Freeze blows the whistle on Ole Miss.

On July 13 — one day after Nutt filed a federal lawsuit against Ole Miss alleging that the school violated the terms of its severance agreement — Nutt’s attorney, Thomas Mars, sent an e-mail to Lee Tyner, the school’s general counsel, referencing a “phone call Coach Freeze made that would be highly embarrassing for all of you and extremely difficult to explain.”

This is also interesting - follow the whole thing.

Looks like the escort service call actually led to what Nutt's lawyers were looking for (made them dig deeper), and that's calls to the press to try to blame the violations on Nutt. And the guys he called evidently confirmed this.

The layer of slime that situation generates was what got him fired. The escort call...meh, let's see where it leads.

Maybe video will magically get out of him snortin' coke off said escorts' asses. Maybe not. But it's pretty obvious he was dancin' to save his job at the very least.

I've always considered Ole Miss to be in no man's land, surrounded by LSU, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Auburn/Alabama.

They're surrounded. And they'd have to "be dirty" to get that many good players away from those schools.

Calling or using an escort service shouldn't be an issue. It should be seen as a safe and legal way to accommodate human desires. It's pure tyranny that this should cost a man his job let alone be illegal.

adultery should be illegal... and an argument could be made that the punishment should be the death penalty.

Hugh Freeze is... or was... a married man.

but I suspect this escort service was not for him... but for potential recruits.

and I suspect this is common practice among SEC teams.

from what I'm reading, the Ole Miss A.D. is lying through his teeth about a whole bunch of stuff... and they got one hell of mess there at Ole Miss.

it would be shocking if there isn't more news to come from this situation.

Ole Miss might have opened a new door on possible sanctions tonight in revealing that they didn't bother to run an even threadbare investigation into Hugh's phone records considering the NCAA NOA. This is edging into possible death penalty territory. Also troubling is that these records already confirmed the worst fears for the school in the Nutt lawsuit- that Freeze is a serial liar and used the news media to try to pass off NCAA sanctions as Houston Nutt's old problems.

Tyranny, give me a break. You've spent too much time listening to liberal professors. There are consequences for your actions, he messed up and paid the price.

This man is suppose to be a leader of young men. I'm sure there was more than one call. As mentioned above, was it for him or an under aged recruit. Keep in mind, he resigned probably to save him from more scrutiny and further embarrassment.

Me thinks Ol Natty has a hard time keeping his "curb finder" in check.;)

Prostitution should be illegal. It uses the coercive power of money to exploit the vulnerable. And it turns women (mostly) into tissues.

They probably have more Div 1 and NFL talent per capita in Mississippi than any other state, but they always have a hard time hanging on to those players for various reasons. Obviously things are very competitive in that area for all those players.

Great example of a coach willing to win at any cost ... no matter what he's willing to do behind the scenes. Sadly, many programs have coaches and programs willing to sacrifice questionable behavior in order to get a "W"

Everyone has known he was an absolute dirt bag for years. It's pathetic that it took Ole Miss this long to kick him to the curb.

The last statement in your first 'paragraph' is comical....and before you judge me I've been married for 13 years and no, I have not strayed from my wife.

well... look.... I'm pro-marriage all the way....
I'm sure you are too.

in today's world, infidelity seems common place... and I don't like it.

there was a time when adultery was punishable by death...
nowadays people lie and commit adultery and nothing ever happens..
which is further evidence that this world can not sustain itself.

but in this particular case...
let's think about what if...

what if Adultery was a punishable by death.

this would force Hugh Freeze to either accept the punishment for his infidelity.
or... admit that he used the escort service for recruiting purposes.

the way it stands now... he don't have to do nothing but stay white and die.

Your punishment doesn't really fit the crime....

perhaps you would like to elaborate... I don't know what you are implying here.

Leviticus 20:10
And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife,
even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife,
the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

How does making prostitution legal change the fact that the woman's body is being used as a semen receptacle?
It professionalized the industry. Any time you take something out of the black market and make it a corporate career you make it safer and more respectable. By denegtatimg prostitution you are really hating on all manual labor. Respect the craft anc you respect the person. Prostitutes are artists. Treat them like movie stars.

Take your Jewish crap out of here. America was founded to free us of this tyranny.

The argument in legalizing drugs is that it will end the criminal importation because it will drive prices down. I would assume the same argument would be used for legalizing prostitution. Lowering the price certainly doesn't help the woman/man who is prostituting herself/himself.

Whoa dude, death....sometimes you gotta just wear dem horns with pride!
