It does get tiring. After any win, the Fran supporters get their I told you so moment, after every loss the detractors get their moment. I'm happy this team found a way to win 2 games they needed to get, now they get to play Nebraska and keep it going.
What I like
Rebraca has seemed to find a baseline level of consistency/competence.
Keeg. Murray has taken the attitude he is going to be the aggressor, he's going to go to the hoop, initiate contact.
The starting lineup with Tony P allows Bohannon to not defend the opponent's biggest guard and has seemed to get Bohannon out of the shooting slump.
Patrick McC has been much more consistent with his offense and what is a good shot. Had a few not go in against Maryland, but the one-footed floaters are out. Squared up jumpers are in.
Sandfordt plays with confidence.
What has me concerned
Defense overall was not real good. Intensity was lacking in second half, but giving up 87 points in a 72 possession game to an offensively challenged team - not good.
What will Iowa's defense be like against Michigan and MSU? We have seen defensive improvement against some teams. What happens when the level of competition again goes up?
It's why the season is fun. Team has put itself into a spot where a decent finish, and pick off at least 1 game against MSU, Michigan, Illinois, OSU most clearly gets them in the tournament. That is a good thing.
