I for one didn't believe at the beginning of the year Iowa would win 15 games. Fran did a great job of coaching this year and has a bunch of talent returning and the upcoming freshmen class looks strong.

These Iowa kids did a great job this year and it was so easy to see tonight that Fran has about a fourth (or much less) of the talent Indiana has in their upperclassmen. Congrats to Indiana. If they play like they did tonight they could win the BTT.
He hustled his ass off, he scored 5 threes in the first half, had 20+ points and I believe 7 assists. You call this dominated? Really?
So whose the next coach? Coach K? Bill Self? Izzo? Maybe Phil Jackson? I'm guessing since it's unacceptable to ever get beat by a team that played well we might as well reach for the moon.
I had us at 15-17 before the year. That was figuring we'd lose first round of tourney. So 3 games better. That's ok I guess.

It's not the coach. Coaches, players, opponent, location, momentum, talent . . . everything has changed. The only consistent thing the last decade is the result. It's annoying but doesn't cool me on Fran.
I wonder if OP realizes that Indiana beat 2 number one seeds earlier in the year and they are playing their best basketball. Of all Big 10 teams, if they make the dance, they might be the last Big 10 team remaining when all is said and done.
Bohannon had 24 and 10, he wasn't the problem at least not offensively.
Let me count the reasons why Fran should stay: as far as I know he runs an honest program, a great freshman class this year, a strong sophomore class, promising recruits coming in, quality assistants and while he has a temper, seemingly a good representative of the school. At least average or better player development (hey, not everyone is going to "bang the drum") Plus, he wanted to come here and I assume he still likes the job. He has been around successful programs and I think he knows how to maintain one! Last night sucked but "that's basketball!" Get over it.
