My casual interactions with friends and family align with the horrendous polling data on Biden and my own observations on his mental competence. So unfortunately I think you are wrong. I just wish Dems wouldn’t get so angry at those of us who honestly believe Biden will lose. I don’t understand the certainty people feel that Biden is the Dems best chance. I honestly believe he is the worst chance the Dems have. And I think he will sink down ballot races too.
It’s sad that this is where we are, but this is where we are.

Even the worst plausible ticket I can imagine - which, off the top of my head, would be Hillary-Manchin - would be better than Trump.
This presidential “immunity” fear mongering BS from the left is amusing. Do they realize it’s ONLY for official acts of a president. Not some wild ass scenarios that I’ve read, which are obviously not official acts of a president. For instance, the presidential immunity would protect Biden against lawsuits by family members of the 13 U.S. service members killed from Biden’s very stupid Afghanistan withdrawal. While it was a bone-headed withdrawal plan, it was certainly within a president’s official acts.
I wonder if that would only be criminal immunity? If those families wanted to sue for wrongful death, civil charges if the presidential immunity extends?
I'm not angry that many people want Biden replaced or believe he will lose. I just don't want them to make it a self fulfilling prophecy. I know you and many of the HROT posters that are disgusted about the current situation still oppose Trump. My hope is that you and others like you will still cast your vote to keep Trump out of the Oval Office regardless of which candidate is at the top of the Dem ticket. In a normal election I would agree the purpose is to vote for someone you support not just against someone you don't, but these are not normal times.
I guess that I just don’t agree with you, as I don’t see any one Democrat that would excite and unify their party, other than perhaps Michelle Obama? However, she reportedly has no interest/desiree in being the nominee.

I honestly don't care. Would I like someone younger? **** yes. But there has been a lot of good things done these past 4 years and I trust his cabinet and administration will continue to do good work.
The other choice is the exact opposite of that. It will be pure chaos and nothing will get done except further destruction. We can get through 4 more years of a Biden administration and I am confident if we continue down that road we can start making the necessary changes we need in our society. With a trump administration we will just allow for us to go backwards even further and delay getting our country and institutions on the right path.
Also I am not confident that trump isn't that far behind Biden in his ability to be all there. He's a moron and constantly said crazy and dumb things and is clearly a narcissist. In a few years it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he's in the same shoes Joe is in right now. So why in the world would anyone vote for the evil version of what we are seeing now? No thanks I'll stick with the road we are going down.
Could be…I don’t know. The main point of my post was that presidential immunity is only for official presidential acts. Every president has made decisions that, in retrospect, could be construed as “criminal” by some. However, no president could be effective worrying about every official decision they make.
Do you think we want that as well? I think some of us are just further along in accepting that this is the situation we are in and are pragmatic about it and think it is a rather easy choice still. I just hope the rest of you hurry the hell up and get to the same conclusion by November. You don't have to be happy about it but voting for Biden is the correct choice
