I guess for me, if I was an avid Iowa State fan, I would be embarrassed that my team was down by double digits the majority of the game, and that it took a massive choke job for my team to win by one point, and probably wouldn't have much to gloat about. But I'm sure there are plenty of Clone fans who feel like they just won the Larry O'Brien trophy.

As an Iowa fan, I couldn't care less about whether Iowa State is fined or not. The bottom line is Iowa should have won this game and didn't. Personally, I think Iowa should be flattered that Iowa State fans think so highly of an unranked Iowa team and storm the court.

I sit back and laugh how grown adults who get so excited about watching 18-22 yr olds play college sports and probably spend too much time at that(me included) want to sit and tell college kids "act like you have been there before" they are freaking college kids! So they want to celebrate big deal. Its really too bad about Randy Peterson but to all the adults worrying about how college kids celebrate, good grief get a life!
It was Deja Vu all over again. I am sorry but Iowa just struggles in that arena and ISU shoots lights out. The glaring issue I have with the whole game is, Fran let up on the gas pedal. Instead of pressing the issue, we sat back at the 7:00min mark and allowed them back in it.
F*ck it and go all in, Fran sat back and allowed them back in just like every game we have lost before. We sit back and allow them to dictate the tempo.

They should not have stormed the court but I'm sure it would be in appreciation and celebrating of the players never giving up rather than beating Iowa by one point.
I disagreed with Fran's decision making in this game too. With that said, I also disagree with those who are saying "Fran is a bad coach" or "Fran needs to go." The bottom line is Iowa lacked discipline, leadership, and mental toughness down the stretch. And I don't think those qualities can necessarily be coached. The players lost this game.
I agree with the players lost the game, but Fran also took UTOFF out after he scored something like 15 straight pts.
I am sorry but as an Iowa Fan you knew this collapse was coming. Iowa just struggles on the road and without a senior leader (white last year) we struggle. I am sorry this might of been a top 25 recruiting class, but they lack leadership. None of them want the ball in their hands and they played scared. They are not a top 25 class anymore, their development as gone by the wayside.
Fran has to either improve his recruiting or he is going to be hurting. next year I do not see a Post player, PG, or forward on that team that could play Div 1. YIKES!
