I am curious. A quick google said it advocates for a strong border and sacking thousands of civil servants which to me doesn't seem awful.

This is classic MAGA. Trump will say all sorts of different - often contradictory - things about the same topic and his followers (or reluctant supporters) can pick which one they like and want to believe.
Trump can say he has never heard of Project 2025 and that he totally disavows it. And that's great and totally acceptable for the folks who don't like what's in Project 2025.
Then, at the same time, Trump can also be totally aligned on many of the topics covered in Project 2025. And that's great and totally acceptable for the folks who do like what's in Project 2025.
The phenomenon is one of the biggest advantages of Trump's political success.

In real life Trump will back it as long as he doesn't have to do any real work. He's not going to try to get votes out of congress or negotiate the finer points of any bills. That all takes away from his time on the golf course or watching Fox News praise him for 12 hours a day.
Last week he claimed he never heard of it, and within seconds said he disagreed with it.
How can you disagree with something you've never heard of?

I know very little about project 25. Only recently reheard about it here on HORT. Based on the very little I know about it, I do not support it. Its is highly unlikely I would move out of the U.S. I wouldn’t leave my family and it’s highly unlikely my children will want to leave.

Given my race, gender, income bracket and religious upbringing - it likely would all work out very well for me personally.
Still oppose it, though, as I actually have empathy for others and believe government has a role in providing a robust social safety net and addressing past inequities.

Damn you all for making me go somewhere I've never gone before to find Trump's Agenda 47, (Trump's website), but I'll continue to call bullshit both ways when I see it (when I want to take time to do so).

Fear mongering over Project2025 is quite the diversion, but it's crap.
Now I'm not taking the time to do it, but I'm sure the two plans have commonalities.
Even if he personally doesn't back it (and who really knows what he wants), you know damn well many of the MAGA Right want it. If they have control of the house and senate and it makes its way to Trumps desk, you really think he won't sign it?
It's amazes me how some people still act like we don't know who Trump is or what his motives are.
Relocating to a place that's more progressive regarding women's rights has come up more and more frequently in the last couple of years. I don't feel good about raising daughters in a state/country that doesn't trust them to make their own medical decisions.
This does not shut down science, but it hopefully prevents unelected bureaucrats from stopping policy implementation.
The majority of the department of education is liberal and they been implementing liberal policy for a long time that a lot of non liberals don't support. California has too much influence on what is taught in schools. The goal of Republicans is to give states the ability to choose what they teach and how they teach it. This does not sound bad to me.
Why not raise your daughters to be responsible and not have unprotected sex?
