In what ways, citing policy, are democrats moving left? I'm genuinely curious. When compared to other democracies across the globe the Democratic party is considered centre-right. As a person that doesn't like either party, I think it appears that way because the R's have shifted far to the right.
Sorry to say, I don't think having an interview with Oprah qualifies as moving left. Getting endorsements from several hundred republicans, including Dick Cheney, does not qualify as left. As somebody who sees the Democratic party as a group that keeps adding "RINOs" masquerading as liberals, I'm curious how policy is shifting to the left, because I'm not seeing it.
If the claim is that the parties are growing more and more isolated and only voting along party lines, that I can agree with. I mean look at the border bill Kamala promises to pass - it's a republican bill. Having the most lethal military in the world is not a "leftist" position. Her unwavering support for Israel is not a leftist position. Support for fracking - the list goes on and on.
The Democratic party is pushing Kamala to the right to try to attract Republicans that are being abandoned by their party's move to the right, IMO, and she's still in a dead even heat with a twice impeached, 34x felon rapist. It's disgusting. The only "left" thing she's done is choose Walz as her running mate. Everything since has been the other direction.
