I was pretty impressed with Illinois. Their offense was much better than I thought they would be. Pretty sure Neb defense is solid but Ill. made plays when they needed too and actually made passing look fairly easy. Certainly not something I’m used to watching an Iowa offense do…
Nebby missed that short FG at the end of regulation…their regular kicker was injured…, otherwise Nebby wins a close one at home.

Fri Sep 20........Illinois
Sep 28.............at Purdue
Oct 5..................Rutgers

Nov 2..................UCLA

Wow - 14 pages?!?!

Quick takes - while watching bits and pieces…

*IL QB and RBs very impressive

*Many, many stupid personal fouls on Nebbie - just really dumba@@ decisions by their players….not surprised.

*Pink shirts got gashed on pretty much every run play that I saw…LMAO! Kaleb will have 200+ when we play them…

I can’t believe Illinois were 9 point underdogs. Easy money.
If that was easy money can you tell me who beats the spread in the Iowa game and the Tennessee game? And if I lose you will reimbursed me. Thanks for the easy money..

Purdue isn’t all that good. Rutgers at home would be a tougher test.

Neb dude is trolling the Iowa board tonight? Huskers just lost at home to a nobody team and Nimrod is giving Iowa a hard time about a bowl game loss from last year against a team that looks like a national champion. Lol.
Your reading comprehension is very minimal. Maybe try rereading who my team actually is. It'll help you not look as dumb next time.

And are you trying to compare a team that looks like a national title team this year, to when you played them last year. It's almost like teams can get better or worse from one year to another lol. Not a bright one here Iowa fans 😅

“…or worse from one year to another…” Or DECADE for Michigan between 2005-2014. So yeah…it can happen. 😊

You're not fooling anyone, and you certainly have no business calling others dumb.

Hope your overnight message board therapy worked for you.

Only thing disappointing is that he ended up at Nebby.
Otherwise I'd take him in a heartbeat at Iowa
(I just threw up a little in my mouth giving any sort of compliment to anything Fusker)
He’s good, especially for a true freshman, but a bit too cocky for me. Kind of reminded me of their former QB Martinez, who all fusker fans fawned over early in his career.

However, Illinois would have still had time to score again to tie, or win, the game.

I put some $ on Iowa to cover the 2,5 point spread vs Minny. I don’t follow/care about the SEC, so can’t help you on Tennessee game. Once I saw that Illinois was 9 point dogs to Nebby that was one of the easiest bets I’ve ever made. 😜

That's still a pretty good start for them considering what we've seen the last 10 years. Rhule will have them doing well but maybe not until next year. That defense still needs some work.

I gotta say, I'm surprised about Illinois winning. I shouldn't be surprised that Nebby failed to live up to their early expectations, yet, I am. Wouldn't mind Bert coming home at some point. Not the first time I've said that. Guy is a good coach.
I’d be pretty happy with him coaching Iowa. He’s shown to focus on all phases of the game. Defense has been pretty strong since he took over (he beat us 9-6 haha)

And offensively it’s a power running game that appears to be modernized with QBs who are mobile. Their QB was accurate and hit his WR in stride…plus throws to the TE

My biggest issue with him is health. The dude has to be close to 300lbs and a heart attack threat every week
