Classless. Cheering for your team is one thing, but berating a player like that is just wrong.
AgreeI’d love to see that “fan” go one on one with Kris then let’s hear what he has to say. There is no place for that in today’s society. If anything, thank him for making it such a great game to be at and experience such a high energy and exciting to the last second outcome.
You fing suck is not acceptable, either!"You fing suck" is one thing, but telling a player to kill themselves is clearly over the line and pretty disgusting.
Sadly, today's society is the problem!I’d love to see that “fan” go one on one with Kris then let’s hear what he has to say. There is no place for that in today’s society. We certainly don't wish death on the opposing players. The refs.... (I kid).Anyone follow game threads or other posts after Iowa loses? Classless isn’t exclusive to Illinois fans.

This.Sadly, today's society is the problem!
Yup. Every fan base has 'em.Please. We wish that and worse. I sit behind the visiting bench at Kinnick. I’ve heard everything you can imagine yelled by Iowa fans at opposing players. And they heard it too. We’re no different than any other fanbase.
Not cool at all and 99 % of any fan base wouldn’t condone this at all but please those that live in glass houses…racist insults thrown Kofi’s way by your fan base including this incident…Scum illinoy fans doing what they do best….embarrassing fan base. They suck at everything else besides basketball so they act like fvcking morons. Both the Murray’s have promising NBA futures ahead while the majority if not all Illinois players will be asking paper or plastic.
That fan is mentally ill. Sorry for his comments. It's a problem everywhere. Iowa and Illinois are not immune to the usual bigots. What needs to happen when this happens is good people need to speak up in no uncertain terms to the person doing itNot cool at all and 99 % of any fan base wouldn’t condone this at all but please those that live in glass houses…racist insults thrown Kofi’s way by your fan base including this incident…
You live in a cave?I thought this kind of thing only happens at wrestling meets. Obviously one fan doesn’t represent an entire fan base. It is unfortunate if someone said that to him.
Seriously, you don’t have to be sorry for what someone else did. I am just pointing out that most of us in all fanbases dont act That way. By all accounts, the Murray brothers seem like class acts and I hope they do great (hopefully both in the NBA next year😁).That fan is mentally ill. Sorry for his comments. It's a problem everywhere. You wanna see mentally ill.... hang out on HROT for a little while and watch these political freaks with 75K+ posts jerk each other off over each other's posts. Dear Lord. I am old enough to remember when people in this country treated each other with civility and respect. The emergence of the drug culture in the second half of the 60s was the catalyst that started the change in people's attitudes. There are other factors as well but drugs are where it started. Our society is decaying and it is very sad to see it happen.
No, you just have to be pushing 70 like I am. I also said there were other factors involved.I feel like this takes a tremendous amount of selective memory.
This times 1000% It is INSANE over there. You wanna see mentally ill.... hang out on HROT for a little while and watch these political freaks with 75K+ posts jerk each other off over each other's posts. Dear Lord. You wouldn't believe it.
Not if there's b1g refs I don't!!!Nould love to get one last crack at Illinois and let our team's performance do the talking.
Well chrishawk or whatever called his FT shooting pathetic, maybe it was him??
I don't know about drugs, so much. I'd say this very type of forum we're on now is more then culprit. The internet has led to a whole new generation of people who can say whatever they want without recourse. Same with mobile phones and texting. When we were growing up, you were usually standing in front of someone when you spoke to them, and most of these internet warriors wouldn't say half the crap they do, if the object of their insults was right next to them.I am old enough to remember when people in this country treated each other with civility and respect. Oh yeah, most people are a LOT more polite in person, I've observed. It's pretty cowardly to talk crap to someone when you don't have to look them in the eye, and especially when they don't even know who you are. "Tampahawkfan" can say what he wants to people and nothing will ever come of it. Social media isn't such a great thing, IMHO.I don't know about drugs, so much.
