The solution is to help raise the standard of living conditions of the countries with the majority of asylum seekers. Less jobs shipped to China and Vietnam. More jobs to Central and South America. Then get Mexico on board to control the flow of their Southern Border.
You can’t stop the flow because of demand for jobs and the US border geography. With what I outline above at least you have a decent start at significant controlled reduction of illegal migration.

Listen, you can say what you want, but since we are on the topic, how bad of a decision by the Government is it to place 20,000 Haitians in an area with 60,000 people? I don't care where they are from or what color, but placing that many migrants from a third-world country in an area with such little resources is going to have problems. We aren't talking about 20-30 people here. That is a ridiculously high number of people. The problems are compounded not because of their skin color, but again, because they are from a third-world country.
The truth of the matter is that the undocumented workers have helped our economy. Google that question regarding the state of Texas and see how they have helped that state. Also it's been shown that they also commit less crime than American citizens regardless of what the cult leader and his followers try to tell you.
