Look at the bright side....if we win 9 or 10 games, maybe this loss puts us into a bowl game we can win
We just got out rushed 240 to 35 by an fcs school. I don't think we need to worry about it.
Rightfully so. This loss should exclude Iowa from the playoffs barring some ridiculous scenario where no other 1 loss teams are available or something.
More likely Iowa goes 8-4 or worse though.
Never thought we would go 12-0 this year. Plenty of football to be played. Certainly not happy with today's effort but not standing on the ledge, either.
We have some big home games to win before that. I was a freshman at Iowa in 2007. From Parkersburg. I just saw new Hancher for the first time today. The sun will come up.
Of course this keeps us out of the playoffs…can you imagine the outcry, if they let a team that lost to an FCS school into the four-game playoff? Never going to happen. Season over.
If Iowa were to, by some miracle passed directly from God, win the B10 championship... The committee would simply leave the big 10 out of the playoff. Never going to let an FCS loss team in. Exactly why you never agreed to play an NFC team.

While I think those chances are slim and none there is a chance. Not a good one but a chance.

Good God I've said the chances are not good. Enjoy cheering for Bama. I'll enjoy seeing how Iowa does the rest of the season. If we don't make the playoffs but finish like UM or VA Tech in their historic FCS losses I won't consider this an awful season.
