I'm ready to take a bullet for Kirk...... I'm glad he is coach!!

1. Shouldn’t be in this position in year 19.

2. Your schtick is tiresome and old.

3. All you have are excuses.
who could have seen all the inujuries that put the coaches into the position they are in. do you have a time machine or crystal ball to have been able to see all these injuries before they happened?

We are lucky to have Kirk here I hate the thought of what could happen in Iowa City the day he packs his bags. He will leave big shoes to fill! For those of you that think he should be fired ....who realistically do you think would come to Iowa City and be better????
Bootlicker.

Ah, the old “we might get somebody worse so we should be satisfied with mediocrity” cop-out.

Here’s a thought.....maybe we would get somebody BETTER!

Kirk gave us a lot of good memories, and I am thankful for what he has done. However, the program has gone stale. It is dull, boring, and no longer competes in bowl games. For every Michigan 2016’s there are 5-6 Northwestern 2017’s.

Do I want him fired? No. It would be pointless to call for his firing because that will never happen. He is going to be here another 5-8 years. However, I do believe the game has passed him by. His offensive philosophy (which is becoming even more conservative as time goes by), just doesn’t work anymore (unless you are loaded with 4-5 star talent).

Kirk Ferentz might concentrate more on coaching his football team as opposed to concentrating his efforts to hand the ball off to his son.

I know some folks here are tired of excuses and I wish we were more consistent, especially on offense.

I do wonder how we'd be with two healthy experienced tackles in Boone and Ike? For a program like Iowa's which "relies heavily" on running the ball first, it would make a big, big difference! But, despite this I am a long way from satisfied with this year's offensive performance. Some of it is youth and stupid mistakes, but I don't understand the one dimentional use of Wadley and the lack of misdirection by NOT using Young and Kelly-Martin. I think Brian is coaching like a first year offensive coordinator learning on the job. Hope he has I high ceiling, but worried it's not there. Hope I'm wrong! Again

OK, 24 hours after that terrible Northwestern loss I'm over my anger. I strongly support our Head Coach, our staff, and our players. I'm grateful for what he as done at Iowa and how he has done it.
  • I'm very proud of how he represents us.
  • I'm very proud of his clean program.
  • I'm very proud of the players he recruits. (I know, he's not 100% but name an employer who hasn't made a bad hire.)
  • I'm proud of how he handles problems, be it losses or personnel. 2014 was tough. 2015 was special, and anybody with knowledge and experience knows he didn't just snap his fingers to make this happen. He had a plan and did it one day at a time.
So line up and fire away at me if you wish.

The joys I've experienced because of Kirk far outweigh a couple miserable losses or an occasional disappointing season.

Overall Kirk has had a great overall run at it for the 18 1/2 years he's been at Iowa. Nobody can really question that.

However, only 1 of the 6 best years KF has had at Iowa has happened in the past 7 1/2 years. Iowa was 34-30 overall and 19-21 in the conference in the 5 years before 2015, and now Iowa is just 12-10 overall and 7-6 in the conference.

That's the issue here. The trajectory for most of the past 7 1/2 years. One can't argue the facts. Apparently, none of that bothers you and as a fan, you are entitled to your feelings.

Kirk is not going to be fired by Iowa so that debate doesn't even to get started. Unless things go very bad, Kirk will be allowed to coach at Iowa as long as he wants. That's a concept I don't agree with at all. All that's being played for right now is if Brian takes over from his Dad in time. Brian's potential future as Iowa's Head Coach is tied directly to the success of his dad and the team for as long as Kirk remains coaching.

One final thought: Don't be thinking Kirk is the only coach in America who can represent Iowa in the ways you outlined above. He isn't.

Big shoes to fill? His idiotic son is going to take over.

If you run for president, I will vote for you. I don't see alot of people trully going to the pitchforks but I see alot of the KF lovers jumping to defend him. Most people are letting it play out in front of them while the "strongest" supporters have dug thier heels in. Its telling of where the program is really. I dont want KF gone, I want Brian to have 100% control on Saturdays and if Brian can't hang more than 10 points in 60 minutes Brian needs to go.

We're one year removed from a year with two thousand yard rushers. There have been significant changes in personnel and coaches.

Question. Did Kulick get hurt in first half against Northwestern? Either Podolak or one of the TV announcers mentioned this and implied it hurt running attack in the second half. Not sure I agree, but Kulick is a battering ram. Leading a block on linebackers does make difference in the trenches.

yes

Iowa would have made the CFP as it was between Iowa and MSU for the 4th spot, but hey keep the hate and denial going if it feel that good about the crap you spew.

That game was really the CFP Wildcard Game.

True story.

.
you do realize that Iowa has these for 1st year starters on Offense
SO QB Stanley
JR JUCO transfer WR Easley
SO TE Fant
RSFR TE Hochenson
RSFR LT Jackson
FR RT Wirfs
backups
FR WR Smith-Marsette
FR WR Brandon Smith
RSFR RB Young
FR RB Kelly-Martin
that makes 7 RSFR/FR playing this season the 3 biggest that have the biggest impact on the Offense, QB Stanley and LT Jackson and RT Wirfs of course that has nothing to do with how the offense is doing.
you do realize KF joked about how bad AW looked in shorts but here he is running into the line (game plan). Other two backs got 4 carries.

Glad you're happen with 25 rushes mostly up the middle and only 3 receptions for AW. Meanwhile Barkley had 13 receptions against us and went for an average of 7.8 against us.
Glad you're happy having AW not utilized to what he's best suited for.

And there lies the problem ... Northwestern is not a good football team.

So isn't the problem, then, not that we lost, but that we were expected to lose? Shouldn't the meltdown here be independent of the game result?
