Where's the disconnect? The issue here and the reason Biden issued the pardons is because Trump and his lackeys have promised the rule of law is no longer going to apply and they have specifically threatened to go after Biden and his family and others simply because of who they are.

Subpoena them and take them into protective custody. We need the information they possess and they can sit in a nice apartment until we as a nation are done hearing their testimony on a wide range of crimes.
The democrats have actively tried to destroy the rule of law. Trust in the justice system needs to be restored and truly no one is above the law whether they have been pardoned for any potential crimes or not. We need to have a transparent investigation and to ensure their safety we need them in custody. We can use Trump tower as the holding area considering it is luxury accommodation and can be easily secured.
