Indian Hills guard to Virginia

If you do not consider four tournaments in six years with three wins “solid” I simply cannot help you
Can't argue with someone who refuses to take the blinders off ...

Fran at Iowa:
174–132 (.569)
79–86 (.488)

And Fran's overall record as a coach:
425–309 (.579)

I'd say that's about as close to "average" as one can get ... If you think for one moment Fran is going to elevate this program to anything other than what we've already witnessed in 9 years ... well ... keep on smokin' ... Never understand the fans who have zero expectations ...

In Dr. Tom's era, that was considered average.

Plus, you're cherry picking. Overall, Iowa has been to the NCAA tournament under Fran 4/9 years with one of those years being a play-in game.

Yes, the fans who voice complaints about Fran like he's done nothing right since he's got here are ridiculous. But it's equally as ridiculous to trumpet these pedestrian successes as if Fran is above reproach.
Come on ... you can't argue with Mrs. McCaffery (aka L. Wade Childress)

:cool::confused:;)

How do you know that a conversation similar to this didn't occur and that Moss shot Fran down? It's not a guarantee that somebody would buy what Fran is selling...as we all should know by now.

Because Fran is a smart guy and there is no logical argument for making moss a focal point

Above reproach??? Lol

And you might want to recheck dr Toms resume

LoL. Moss is, or should say was the most athletic guy on the team other than TC. I’d like to know any other players on the team that can take the ball to the rack like Moss sometimes did. I’ll hang up and listen.

Moss went to the hoop occasionally looking for contact and free throws. JW goes to the hoop to score and if he's fouled he finishes.

No, it isn’t. We actually use a full roster and develop players, so when kids leave or graduate we have someone waiting to step up. Many programs do this.

The programs scrambling for transfers many times have continuity, talent, or retention issues.

Iowa just lost 3 players early, 2 to transfers and 1 guy that didn't feel it was worth it to play for Fran for free. Iowa is exactly that team scrambling for players, at least guards.

Lol ok man. Let’s see what hugely critical role this guys fills for them next year.

Clearly we should not be looking at guys going to the national champion. More value in recruiting guys that should be in the MVC and giving them multiple years to prove it so they ultimately transfer to the level they should have started at. Now we are pinning our hopes on yet another white combo guard in Frederick. Iowa hoops is in for a major thud next year and yes, you can quote me on this.

I’ve found that one key to living a fulfilling life is to get pissed about hypothetical scenarios that haven’t actually happened.

Moss was maybe no.5 on last year’s team for athleticism.

No. 4 at the absolute best.
