That Naaktgeboren was kind of a jackass after his semi finals win.
Strange match between Block and Naak. Clearly a little bit of bad blood between the two. Naak seemed to be annoying Ryder with his clubs and his running. Then Ryder kept working for the major and proceeded to cut him with about :10 left to miss it by a point.
Worst call ever. I have never seen a takedown given when a kid is on his feet with nothing else touching the mat. Block looked good and it didn’t effect the outcome but officials need to be better than that.
Yeah little Naak isn’t a big recruit. I doubt anyone believes otherwise. Similar to the Ayalas in a sense.
He certainly has a big attitude.
Naak did a bit of a foot shuffle in the 2nd while loosing, not sure why any wrestler does this, to me it's ridiculous.
Have to agree, even though it went in favor of a future Hawk. Kid’s butt was like 6 inches off the mat. That said, Naak did a whole bunch of stalling and could have been dinged more. Never really did engage much at all beyond looking for a throw, and didn’t even do much of that.
Didn't Koedam get a takedown on the edge of the mat against Stangel from Osage in class 2a 145 pounds? When do they call out of bounds in high school? It looks like wrestlers are in bounds on the edge of the mat when they call them out?

The Naak seemed to be a jerk. Of course this is me not knowing him at all. Just watching him last night and then tonight. But he seemed pretty upset on the podium.

Kid is a beast on top. Probably not the strongest of competition, but he has been Spencer-level dominant this week.
Not sure how great the competition was, but he dominated. They said 3 first period falls I believe, then the Tech in finals. He is a real smooth leg rider. What is he doing as far as school and wrestling?

It will get overshadowed by BK, but wil textor from DNH in 1a has had had quite the journey for a guy that weighs under 210 wrestling hwt. 220 is filled by the #1 guy (Reinecke) also from DNH

Arnold with ice in his veins! Huge kudos, not an easy feat to beat a wrestler of that caliber 4 times to 0 in one season.
Going to isu to play football. He’s a good kid, and I hope he gets it.
That was an awesome 2-1 match. Great wrestling. Both have bright futures. Love our guy. What an athlete.

Arnold is a brick house!!! I though for sure he would be a 184, but If he is going to be at 174 for us. Even better!
Competition was not especially high at his weight. Obviously a talented kid but just don't have a ton of national comparisons. I know Tate Naak beat him pretty well last year. By major possibly.
Is it generally thought that these two high level grapplers will be at different weights than each other in college? Arnold is several inches shorter than Naak.
Competition was weak, comparatively. Mid D1 level recruit unless he wants to try a big school without getting much $$$.
Yes. Arnold will go 174 (lower than this year) and Naak is likely 184.
How tall is Dreshaun Ross? He looks like a Tarantula
Gabe wrestled well. Was in a few times only to get funked by Tate who is dangerous on mat funk. Gutty performance.
How tall is Ross? SDSU’s backup 197lber is a 6’7” freshman. Almost never see wrestlers that tall
