Lembek not going to iowa that i am aware of. His brother was there but was involved with the robbery deal. Thomsen is very good. Teske as well, maybe a hair under Thomsen. Very impressed with Zachary. Rathbun hurt his knee yesterday so nice job still winning after that.
I'm not so sure. Max Thomsen didn't look tremendously athletic either last year at face value but he's tremendously talented and consistent. I think Happel is very similar.
Hard to tell between Happel and Zachary who would win,. Room for both IMO. Zachary has the kind of athletic ability we need to add to our lineup. Thomsen is a must get, very good. Brands has improved by leaps and bounds since last year and will keep getting better being a later starter, nice win over a tough well coached senior.
It's not even close. Teske is great in Iowa. Not so great outside of Iowa. He failed to place at cadets last summer.
Sign that Lyon kid up too.
I think he would beat happel too.
With that Happel looks a lot smaller then him. We'll see if he drops to 38 for Fargo. Zachary has a big frame. He could end up being 49/57 where as Happel is a 41.
Big upset at 182 in 2A, Erickson with the pin. That would be Cole Erickson's, who wrestles for Iowa, brother.
Max Lyon is my OW so far...Alex Thomsen would be also because he dominated West who ain't no slouch.
I'll take Happel and his 154-1 record, 4 state titles, Cadet national title, FILA national title and 5th place at Junior nationals, with #4 national ranking with intermat.
I don't think Mehmen is all that tall, but Cook is short.
Turk...we have a guy that looks a lot like him in Holloway. As much as I heard, thought he would be a lot more dominant.
My OW is Thomsen. Last time he wrestled West it was a 1 point victory. He destroyed him in the finals tonight. Dominated him
I like Holloway a lot. Very Raw but he can get there. Bring Cook in anyways. Iron sharpens iron!
I'm not sure Zachary would care too much about happels cadet title 2 years ago at 120 lbs. That has zero to do with today. Last time we saw Happel wrestled top competition he lost to a tough kid then get smoked by a really tough kid. The eye test tells me Zachary. We have no idea who would win bc Zachary has never wrestled top flight competition.
It's kind of like schiltz and Coleman. No one knows how good Schilz is because he doesn't wrestle anywhere.

I'm not from Iowa, so I don't really have that big of a grasp on the Iowa HS wrestling scene, but to me it looks like there are quite a few talented kids that could turn into real studs at Iowa who we don't already have.
Thomsen, Teske, Zachary, Brands (assuming he comes here), Wriedt and some of these upper weight boys look pretty good, Lyon and such.

Match of the night imo. Great win by the North Scott kid.
He looked pretty good against both Louie Hayes and Roman Bravo Young. I think he's beaten Real Woods before too.
Probably one of the best big man high school matches I have seen. That kid from North Scott's heart is huge.
