Can someone please refresh me on his height and star-ranking?
He's a legit 6'10" and likely 6'11" honestly. I saw him a few times at Carver walking the concourse and he towered over me and I measure 6'6" barefooted. Rivals & 247 both had him as a 3*** recruit ranking.

247 had him as the 36th best PF in the country for his class and 7th best prospect overall from Illinois.

Rivals had him as the 23rd best Center in the country for his class, but oddly not ranked as an Illinois prospect overall.

Once he fills out a bit and packs on some more muscle, this kid is going to be a big problem for Iowa's opponents. He's the real deal and plays with much more finesse and athleticism than most kids his age and overall size. A lot of tools in his toolbox as he can block, pass, play defense, shoot from outside and his handles are above average. He's going to be hard to keep off the court even as a true freshman.

They call him the Big O for a reason:)

With the technology they have today, I can't believe they can't stream these games somehow

Probably comes down to TV/streaming rights. It’s not that it can’t be done, it’s far more likely that it comes down who’s going to make money off it and how much is it going to cost to stream it.

It would be a nice little incentive to those who subscribe to B1G+ year round.

Also, they might not want fans dissecting every possession just yet.

Two things.

One. It doesn't always equate but it's usually pretty close. Valencia is a solid soccer club and when the soccer club is solid, the basketball club usually is too (ie- Barcelona). Someone already mentioned that Valencia beat someone else last week.

Two. I completely forgot... Big Jelly isn't on this team. I didn't think anyone really wanted him so I forgot he actually left. He's at MTSU if anyone else forgot.

this. how many 2nd and 3rd chances have we given up the last few years?? i can't count the number of times i've screamed at the tv to grab the effing ball.
Great point. People don't realize that just by doing better on the glass, and so limiting easy 2nd chance buckets, just how much that alone would improve our defensive metrics. Case in point, in the womens final four matchup with S Carolina, if we hadn't been absolutely mauled on our defensive glass, we probably blow them off the floor......

What people really don't understand is that defensive rebounding is primarily a function of good, solid defense.

The defense the women played in the title game was an absolute joke. There is no way to rebound when your positioning has already been compromised, if not destroyed.

Similar story for most of Fran's teams.

That being said, bigger, more active bodies do help some

Krikke is going to score a lot of points in Frans offense. Now not sure who he can guard but he’s certainly going to score in our offense.

i wonder if we are gonna see 6'11 Owen Freeman a lot. His role: defend the rim and rebound.

And I think Ladji is gonna help in B1G games; its been reported that he's 260 lbs. That can't be easy to move.
