Didn’t Graves commit as a Freshman?Top ten is very likely, imo
He's got cred just from his last name.
Hawks should get commitment similar to when Graves did.

This site says 6-25-19.Didn’t Graves commit as a Freshman?
I honestly couldn’t remember, thanks for looking it up! I just knew it was early. This site says 6-25-19.
I guess we could argue, but that should be right after the end of his freshman year...right?
So solid 5 Star rating ... like his big bro.

Is that more certain than the actual recruit being on the field and commenting that he can't wait to play on that field?

Good God that was a fun 4 minutes. Kid looks as strong and quick as a grizzly bear.
Thanks Fran great to watch. Hoping the young man follows his family and comes to the great state of Iowa to play for the Hawks
Clones would look foolish if he was not one of the 300 offers they send out every year. Lots of respect for the Epenesa family. Well done.
I never think that there is such thing as a pure lock ... however, players like Graves come around and they end up being "locks" anyhow.Fact or Fiction: Iowa is a lock for 2025 four-star defensive lineman Iosa Epenesa
Cosgrove's take: FACT. Epenesa is one of the nation's elite prospects in the 2025 class, and he will likely have close to every major offer in the country by the time his recruitment is finished. That being said, Iowa has too much going for it to not to be the team to beat in this recruitment. And although I'm going out on a limb by saying Iowa is a lock, I see Epenesa following in the footsteps of his dad and older brothers by choosing Iowa City as his destination for college.
@Eliot Clough 's take (of Go Iowa Awesome): FICTION. Iowa is certainly in the running, considering his familial connections. However, Epenesa is one of the top recruits in the 2025 recruiting cycle, and he's already received offers from national powers like Michigan and Tennessee. His 10 total scholarship offers will only continue to increase in the coming months, and he'll have plenty of suitors by the time he makes his final decision.
Depends if KF really plans on sticking it out until 2029. That’s why I don’t expect an early commit from Iose. He’ll probably wait and see till how Kirk feels by that time.I never think that there is such thing as a pure lock ... however, players like Graves come around and they end up being "locks" anyhow.
In the context of the Epenesa clan ... I would never want to take their allegiance to Iowa for granted. Thus, I wouldn't go so far as to say that Iose is a "lock."
However, here are factors that we do know about ...
- recruiting is based on trust and Iowa and the Epenesa family seem to have a close relationship
- most Pacific islander cultures are very family-oriented and rooted in loyalty. Thus far, Iowa has remained loyal to the Epenesa family and the Epenesa family has been loyal to the Iowa program.
- speaking to the family connection ... the family-oriented culture of the Iowa program complements the culture of the Epenesa family
- Iose projects as a D-lineman ... and Coach Bell only seems to continue to improve in his capacity as DL-coach! Thus, there is no doubt that Iose's development would be in fine hands! Looking at recent history ... at guys like Golston, Nixon, and Van Ness ... Coach Bell has plenty to sell!
- Iowa is not that far from home
- with any luck Iose bleeds black-and-gold anyhow ... so that never hurts!
National power Tennessee...that's hilarious.Fact or Fiction: Iowa is a lock for 2025 four-star defensive lineman Iosa Epenesa

Ghost, good words here. I have nothing but respect for the Epenesa family and they know what they get in Iowa football. I would say we are positioned strong. That said if Iose (edited) picked another team I would be disappointed but respect the decision and not speak against it.I never think that there is such thing as a pure lock ... however, players like Graves come around and they end up being "locks" anyhow.

Iose ... not Lose.Ghost, good words here. I have nothing but respect for the Epenesa family and they know what they get in Iowa football. I would say we are positioned strong. That said if Lose picked another team I would be disappointed but respect the decision and not speak against it.
Come on over Lose we will build you farther as a man within the Hawkeye family.
That's going to be a common thing i believe, . Eppy is the answer to the name issue, lol!Iose ... not Lose.
Loyalty for sure, both ways. Brother Eric is in his what, third year as a deep reserve at Iowa? I think he's had some specials snaps, but he's a Hawkeye none the less.....I never think that there is such thing as a pure lock ... however, players like Graves come around and they end up being "locks" anyhow.

Odds are stacked against him. I don’t think AJ started until his Junior year and LVN obviously never started.Iose will be a day-one starter.
