Looking at that top 250 on 247 is discouraging. Only 1 Iowa prep player(Brooks) made the list.
The overwhelming majority are from the SEC footprint and CA.
Any wonder why those SEC schools dominate top 20 classes.
BIG has a long way to go to catch up. ....but probably impossible w geographic hurdle.
The #1 recruit,Underwood, is from Michigan but is committed to LSU...maybe that changes but bad look for BIG.

Schools strongly in the mix for Edwardsville (Ill.) High Top247 prospect Iose Epenesa include IOWA, Illinois, Missouri, Miami, Oregon, and Kentucky, where he'll visit this weekend.
Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz was recently at Epenesa's basketball game.
Eppy Epenesa: “Missouri is one of the schools that’s been coming hard. He really loves Coach Drink and the spirit he brings. He came and sat with us last Friday night, me and Stephanie my wife and my man was bringing the juice. He was screaming ‘throw the ball to the big guy.’ He was super excited watching Iose. Every time he made a move he was slapping me saying ‘did you see that move? It was good having Coach Drink in the house."
Lose choosing Missouri would definitely be weird. I'm not seeing it.
Yes and No. Close to home for the Ep family. Program is strong currently. No constant stream of embarrassing comments by the sports media about the HC's pathos. Could be that he says "Dad, I respect Coach Ferentz. But I wanna play for a guy like Coach Drink." Eppy wouldn't tell his son no.
I hope he follows his brother and Dad to Iowa City. But won't be shocked if he doesn't.
