2 things can be true at the same time. Audi is very effective in the post, her size allows her to maintain her positioning and bury her defender. Once she gets the ball its very difficult to block or affect her shot (especially when she turns over her left shoulder).
However, Audi is also very limited. She can't defend anywhere outside the post, so that forces ISU to play zone more than they would like. She really struggles to defend the pick-and-roll.
She is good not great rebounder. She will get most rebounds in her reach, but can't move well enough to rebound outside her area. This is not that uncommon for college posts. Monica C also struggled in this area. Audi is probably a better rebounder than Monica.
Her conditioning is obviously an issue. She can't really play more than 25 minutes without really slowing down. She can't be a part of any transition offense. The injury risk is very real. It would be a major surprise if she is able to finish her career without a major injury. Even smaller injury issues will also be an issue. The second half vs Iowa she was noticeably grimacing and stretching out her lower back several times.
Again, she will certainly be putting up big numbers while on the court, but she has limits and limits what her team can do both offensively and defensively. I feel like ISU would be better off featuring Addy Brown and Emily Ryan. Addy Brown could be a superstar.
So, while Audi Crooks is undeniably a talented, productive player, I'm glad she is not at Iowa. If she can stay healthy, she might rewrite many parts of the ISU record-book, but I doubt that ISU advances much past the sweet 16.
