Kansas recruiting isn’t what it normally is at the moment. Since we know Foster’s criteria was NBA alumnus there’s no question the choice would have been Kansas over ISU if Kansas was a can’t miss landing spot for top 50 recruits at the moment. Self has tried to mitigate this by offering fringe 100 players but it looks like even that won’t save his class. So, point being blue bloods without significant penalties possibly in the pipeline didn’t offer him.
This didn’t mean he isn’t a very good recruit with a high possible ceiling, but program carrying like Wieskamp he isn’t currently.
No, he has a boss. And he has to live by the rules. Iowa's philosophy is not just winning, but graduating and doing it right.
People complain about CHA not being Hilton. Know what, go out and support the kids that do want to represent Iowa. CHA can be an electric place when the fans get out and support the team.
If we do that, kids will come. They most definitely will come.
